3 Body Problem (2024)
stop pretending to be clever
The absolute disrespect for the audience. If you're trying to be clever then be clever. Let me just point out a few bits that got on my nerves.
1- for the guy being sent into space. Why does not wanting to sign make you "the ideal candidate", just walking out the room doesn't make this scene smart
2- when they decided in the guy going into space.. the two ladies who knew he was the perfect candidate were the ONLY ONES IN THAT GODDAMN ROOM who knew he was ideal candidate.. so who told Wade about him before these two pathetic morons spend an entire scene trying to convince Wade not to send him outer space.. did i miss a scene? Is there a deleted episode somewhere???
3- obvious question but why Saul? I have an explanation on the same idiotic level as this show.. maybe because he is the BFF of the guy going into space so the aliens somehow think they can hold his concaciousness hostage once they recieve his brain or something dumb like that.
4- I'm gonna buy a 18mil £ star for my lady... but its just a piece of paper.. nope.. this act shows how stupid the character is and makes you not empathesise with him any longer.
5- ill update it when i remember.. im still having PTSD from wasting my time
I really wanted to like this show. In fact im the target audience.
Jigarthanda DoubleX (2023)
SJ Surya + Karthik Sabbaraj is a dream come true
Cant express how happy I am with the state of Tamil cinema now, Karthik Sabbaraj is a jewel and S J Surya is a gem
Before this movie I didnt have much of an appreciation for Raghava lawrence but I have to say, paired with a good director like Karthik, he is amazing and I came out a fan too.
Film is a emotional ride, very rare for films these days to make us cry because they always try to be mass entertainers but someone Karthik strikes a perfect balance of a commercial mass entertainer which also includes emotional tear jerking scenes. Thank you sir! And thank you to SJ Surya and Raghava Lawrence for taking ok this film and blowing us away!
Men (2022)
Wtf did i just watch
This film has no conclusive ending, it thinks its smart but it sets you up for some kinda twist reveal but u end up getting the titles rolling.. my disappointment levels are extreme.
I get the art house take on things but atleast explain the ending damn it!
Just avoid this film if u like movies witha solid storyline and ending.
Rory Kinnear was the only good thing about this film , giving us multiple performances as various men but for no real purpose.
The main lead and her flashbackbwere barely believeable and it was tiring and often incredibly boring to watch this unfold.
I have to say the tention in the first half was interesting and good to watxh but sadly it doesnt end well.
Bagheera (2023)
How can a movie be this bad?? I mean I already knew it was going to be bad, but this is crazy bad!
First of all, i knew this film had seriously bad reviews, but the art style of the trailer and prabhu deva made me think it might be ok with low expectations. Gods sake was i soo wrong?
There is an English movie called 'The disaster artist' about a really horrible movie called 'the room' by Tommy Wiseau, it is reviewed as "the best worst film ever made", people actually go to the cinema in London 10 years on just to laugh at this movie as a group.
I believe the world that laughs at Tommy Wiseau just has not seen Aadhik Ravichandran. Seriously, how do people keep producing movies with him? Logic fails and characters and dialogues dont exist in any planet like they do in aadhik ravichandrans movie universe. He only knows how to give you a good trailer and poster.. kadavule!
The cringest scenes strung together such as a horrific looking teddy bear gifted to a girl who thinks it is cute and then this teddy bear beats her to death.
Aadhik please travel and study the world first and learn to respect women. Your movies are a cringefest.
The only good thing about this movie is Prabhu deva wearing different disguises and giving his best performance to pull through this disgusting and poor script.
65 (2023)
Jurrassic park fan asked chatGpt for a script?
Ok firstly i am the target audience for this movie. The poster had me! I am obsessed with Dinosaurs, Godzilla and sci-fi twisters like POA and Interstella, but not star wars... i was dieing to see this movie in cinemas just because the poster had everythibg i wanted, but something kept coming up everytime i went to the cinema.
How the eff did this movie end up leaving me dissapointed? The vfx dinosaurs occassionally looked plastic, many scenes looked ripped from jurassic park, it really did feel like Chatgpt was asked to write a dinosaur movie for dinosaur fans and this is what it spat out, and they went into midjourney.. he we have this.. a combination of stuff we have seen before generated by ai.
Bhajarangi 2 (2021)
Saved only by Arun Janya's BGM and cinematography
Firstly let me start by saying I am a big fan of A Harsha, especially Bhajarangi, which I saw three times in China and I was really excited and hyped up for part 2!
But when the reviews came in poor and the Tamil version didn't arrive, I waited and I guess my expectations were lowered.
This film is not a masterpiece. The fantasy concept is poorly executed and underwhelming. Harsha sir knows how to shoot goosebumps inducing thriller shots and a movie filled with great moments for a trailer.. but its like he shot all those but forgot to shoot all the inbetween scenes and dialogues to actually make the movie have any sense.
The Cinematography is first class and MY GOD THE BGM MADE ME CRY. There are moments of fighting which i rewinded to watch again only because the music was so good. A scene where villagers are commiting suicide and Dr Shivarajkumar dies fighting for them made me cold with goosebumps due to the music and acting of Shivanna, saw this scene 10 times!!
But yes, most reviews are true. The story is a mashup of Bhajarangi, Vajrakaya and a wannabe mix of magic that didnt really make any sense. The young Shivanna has a cringeee as hell scene where he desperately accepts marriage with a lady he doesnt know.
But definitely watch the film for Bhajarangi and the villain, both of whom performed well and that damnnn good bgm!! That soundtrack deserved a better movie!!
Another note that really made me angry is the poor Tamil dubbing. I actually switched to Kannada audio.
Why does the beautiful songs need the lyrics to be changed when they mean the same thing in Tamil??? The singing is so poor in Tamil, I wanted to slap the singer in Tamil who was shouting "bhajarangi", UNECESSARY AS HELL, why not keep the original voice of Khailash Kher.
Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
The movie experience we have missed for ages
Those who complain about the lack of a story, where the hell were you for Minari and Nomadlad?! Yea what complex sophisticated stories those movies had right? (roll eyes). Some people are such miserable misers that nothing can make them happy, there is always some flaw, probably in their personal lives too.
Anyway, my thoughts on Avatar 2:
Originally due to the 13 or so years wait and the saturated movie market which had overdone vfx and 3D since the first Avatar, I lost excitement and had 0 expectations for this film, I wasn't even hyped to go cinemas, but hey, Cameron did it again, this is the film that raises the bar in being visually stunning yet again.
I thought the story was nice and carried a good message. Not every movie is Joker or Fight club, grow the hell up guys!
There is not a single boring moment in the movie and you follow the story well.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Good fun
For all you pesky wannabe critics who have been hurling bad reviews at the film, what do you actually want from a film? I imagine your the same people who cant be content with life, complain about everything no matter how good, disrespect yo mama and your partner... jeeez.. this was a really good film! Creatures were spooky as anything and the graphics and action were great. Sure there are a few questions about the logic and why certain things arent explained but nothing that can't be looked past.
Rurôni Kenshin: Meiji kenkaku romantan (2012)
Masterpiece in every regard
Great cinematography, grade, stunts, storyline, set, costumes and acting, there is just no way to fault this film.
K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018)
Style over substance but best in that genre
Initially my feelings were that this is NOT a movie! It is basically a 2 hour showreel for the actor Yash or a really long Trailer for KGF 2.. but it grew on me specialy after watching part 2.
It has its logical flaws but cant complain when the acting, cinematography, music and most importantly editing is outstanding.
Okja (2017)
Do NOT skip! Everyone should watch this film!
I put off this film for a long time because i thought it was some kind of fantasy/anime but no, it is the most important film I think I've seen in this century! All the stars are great, Jake Gylenghal is humorous.
I know the film is 15+ but honestly it has a really important message for kids compared to the false fantasies other studios push on them. I would personally make any kid of mine see it!
Army of the Dead (2021)
Good Zombie Fun
What more did you want from a Zombie film? To those complaining about the length.. why on earth are you complaining.. about literaly more minutes of .. pure entertainment. Its got the best of both Zombie and Action rolled into one.
Exam (2009)
Ridiculous and full of plot holes
This is by far the most ridiculously stupid film I have ever seen. I wont even waste my time to talk about the film but I will tell you how it ends just so you know how stupid it is. After an entire film of being tested in weird ways for a job, a lot of innocent people die as part of this exam, only for the lead to be told in the end that she has been selected for her "attention to detail" etc for the job, no explanation given about what this ridiculous job is that required some poor exam students to die in order to select applicants.
Coming 2 America (2021)
Wesley Snipes is Amazing
The film is a good smooth watch with lots of laughs for sure and good old Eddie Murphy. But my biggest highlight is Wesley Snipe's role as Izzi, king of Nextoria! Wanted to watch it again just for him!
Next (2007)
'It already happened' before Tenet
Great film, honestly found it easier to follow and more relatable 'Tenet'. Ok it isn't as serious as a film, it's a lot more light hearted and leans towards comedy along the lines of 'Groundhog Day'. Nicolas Cage and Julianne Moore are great too!
Gi-eok-ui bam (2017)
Amazing Mind-bending thriller
It's been forever since we had a good Mind-bender but this one is full of good twists and turns and a great plot. Definitely watch! Keeps you on the edge and thrilled throughout.
The Legend of Hanuman (2021)
Setting new standards for Animation!
This is absolutely brilliant. The animation quality exceeds what we have seen from Asia in recent years and is definitely worth the watch! I have been binging!
The storyline is very well told and clearly and carefully considers those not familiar with the original epic such as westerners. The modelling of Hanuman is really nice and refreshing in comparison to what we have had in the past.
I am hoping this will release on English platforms too dubbed in English as well as Chinese. The flavour of storytelling and animation quality is really on par with Jackie Chan's 'Monkey King: Hero strikes back' and 'Nezha'
