Ursinho da Pesada (2008)
The pinnacle of cinema
This movie is, quite seriously, the Citizen Kane of Video Brinquedo's animation. Every animated movie from Video Brinquedo ever since has been a failed attempt to recreate the masterpiece that this film is. This motion picture is an anomaly in a market usually dominated by formulaic kiddie-fare. Unlike most movies from animation studios, this movie will enthrall you, whether you're 5 years old or 50. An epic plot, intriguing characters, stellar voice cast, great music and hillarious moments make this film a family classic that will stand the test of time.
There was just something very alluring and beautiful to the particular style that was used for the animation here. There were so many impressive details in every scene, and it looked so very real. At several points I had to do a double take that they didn't mix in live action animals. I was especially impressed with the fur and the movement of the characters along with its naturalistic facial gestures. Make sure you watch this, because it does not disappoint.
WandaVision: On a Very Special Episode... (2021)
Best episode yet
A really adorable puppy shows up like 13 minutes and 20 seconds in, that alone warrants a 10 to me. But the director does a seamless job at blending the sitcom portions with the main MCU stuff, while also giving the audience a pretty good sense of Wanda's psyche through some great relationship drama with Vision. The cameo appearance was jaw-dropping as Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda) teased recently and I was left wanting more. A thrilling start for phase 4 even after everyone said this franchise would peak at Endgame.
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Very Boring
I watched this "film" because of the hype surrounding it ever since the news about Tom Holland's upcoming Spiderman 3 was released. I was told going in that this was a terrible movie, but I should still watch it. While some people found the bad acting in this movie to be funny, I did not. I felt like I wasted my time watching it. I still would have never watched this if Tobey's Peter wasn't making a comeback in the MCU. Spidey has like 15 minutes of screen time tops in this flick, come on now. He's the titular character.
Peter and MJ's relationship is immensely boring but the movie makes a really huge deal out of it unfortunately.
They have 0 chemistry and it just never ever feels anywhere near as real or engaging as say Peter & Gwen's in the TASM series. They don't even bother developing MJ's relationship with her fiancé before she gracefully ditches him at their wedding (which the movie tries to play off as a joke) at the very last second for another guy. If Marvel did that today they'd be trashed relentlessly for forced humor or hamfisted feminism.
The movie has a good 10 minutes of action total in what feels like a 3 hr soap opera special. I've also been told that if you watch this in the right atmosphere and with the right people, it can be an ok watch. This was not the case for me. I am (almost) happy to say I saw it, I can understand what people are talking about now, but I wish they would talk about other (better) films.
