Nimona (2023)

Gamechanger! They Created a Whole New Genre

This is the Lovechild of Dungeons & Dragons and Cyberpunk! It's presented so well that if youre wondering why every young person is going nutts for this, because it is groundbreaking! Coupled with facemelter guitar solos and double bass the overall product is so beyond Kickass! Its only ironic that Chloe Grace Mortez gave a voice over performance that will not be matched for a very long time! With all the dissapointing animations released lately I am so happy that I pushed through and got to witness something as funny and original as this wonderful movie! Thank you everyone that made it possible. Well Done!

It very disappointing to see another adaptation of one of the most classic animations, Fern Gully, and it gets absolutely zero credit for creating such a beautiful story that it spawn several great films. Diane Yound created the Magical Forrest that must be protected from evil men that seek to destroy it. This premise has been used several times and a lot of people made a lot of money for her creative book ( I'm looking at you Avatar) but never give the adaptive credit back to the original source. Shameful! On a sidenote, there are several reviews that refer to the animation as a cartoon. A cartoon is very short and very old. Those individual reviews are from a source that is not a fan of animation.

This Series Started the Streaming Empire

So there was this streaming service named Rooster Teeth, and they had this one script placed in front of them. This script, entitle Day 5 was all this streaming service named Rooster Teeth had, but it was all that they needed! This script, screenplay, STORY, was so good that they didn't just want to film it. They built an entire channel, streaming service, or whatever was between Netflix mailing DVDs and Redbox, this is what got it started! This script was so good, it created an entirely new viewable form of entertainment. It will haunt you later its so good, because it is one of the most perfect endings!

Mummies (2023)

I Almost Wrote a Review for Mummies

But then I remember I'm an older adult male and this is a children's animated movie. The one thing I will say is the voice acting was excellent and accurate as oppose to rubbish casting of Mario Bros! And its very sad that Mario Bros took in $31 million dollars in its opening week and a well put together movie like Mummies will not come close. Mummies also had an amazing musical number performed entitled The Ring is Mine and is very reminiscent of the classic The Girl is Mine performed by Paul McCarthy and Michael Jackson. Overall, the children will love it and really that's all that matters. Thank You!

It Made Me Put My Phone Down

This series is so entertainging its shocking, and makes me wonder if I may be missing out on other great Hallmark series. Normally, I only watch the movies because Hallmark movies follow a formula that doesn't disappoint. This series does not follow that formula at all. It was a huge risk-to-reward and the payout was huge! Overall, the Hallmark channel is headed in the perfect direction. This past Christmas season had some of the best feel good movies with unbelievable casting. Bruce Cambell was amazing in My Southern Christmas! The future of Hallmark may very well be a strong competitor to Apple+

A Girl From PA with a NYC accent?

It tries to be A Brand New Cherry Flavor but is more like An Old Stale Rice Cake. It's too single character centric. As much as you enjoy the lead lady, she didn't have to be in every single shot! Branching out and developing other character's stories would have made this series so much more enjoyable. The cinematography was done very well. Would be a good series for a film student wanting to learn Camera Angles to study because the bland story will not capture your attention enough to distract from studying the filming techniques. Overall, the male and female actors do a very good job to make this "residual-speed-limit-of-a-series" watchable.

Best Surprise of My Life!

As an avid Hallmark fan, Christmas time is our Superbowl! So needless to say I'm just crushing content, watching Hallmark none stop. As My Southern Family Christmas began I already fell in love right from the start because the protagonist chick was a big girl and I do love me some beautiful big women! BUT then to my surprise as I peek from around my phone and on to TV screen, it's the Deadite Killing King Himself!! My heart instantaneously filled with overabundance amounts of happiness! Bruce Cambell, it fills me with great joy that you have chosen the Hallmark Family for the 3rd act of your career. Welcome home King!

The Bootleg Version is a Better

Illegal trafficing of movies is bad! The films setting is the 1960's and the bootleg video quality gives the film more authenticity to a camera from the 1960's. As long as your audio is of good quality the movie will flow seamlessly as if you were in a movie theater with a reel to reel projector. The only other film that is complimented by bootleg quality is the Lighthouse w/ Dafoe and Patterson. The grainyness, and unsteadiness of the video coupled with the crappy tinty audio adds so much depth to the film it makes one wonder if it was created w/ the clear understanding of the iniquitous world of bootlegging movies.

Omg ! It Finally Happened!!

Normally, filming in a specific time era is a always, every freaking time, so disappointing. The production goes through so much trouble to change everything from cars to wallpaper to lighting all to match the time period, BUT they then film it with 4K camera?? Why is such a hard concept that to keep the authenticity of the time period it must be captured by the technology of that time period?? And they finally did it!! I'm so happy! I'm so HAPPY! It had the grainyness, it has the light bleed and that color was not corrected, not even a little bit. It was 1980's perfection! Absolutely, a dream come true! Thank You!

This Show is Not For You

This show is targeting a very specific, slim demographic and we are not that demographic. We are not a teenage, Latinx girl who is an outcast that lives in a world filled with people that do not look or act like them. Is it the Addams Family? Not even close. This is not even a clever parody to the 1991 masterpiece film entitled The Addams Family directed by Barry Sonnenfeld which on a sidenote, is qualified as a one of the best Christmas movies ever! It would have been enjoyable to see Christina Ricci reprise her role as Wednesday but as an adult in the working world, cleverly dealing with Karens and Susans.

Marlon Wayans Has Grown Up

The journey began with Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood but ended with The Curse of Brdige Hollow as we all were blessed to see the growth of Marlon Wayans. Not to ride the coat-tails of his brothers no more, Marlon puts on an amazing performance! He not zany, he's not idiotic, he is a serious actor, and he does not disappoint. Coupled with an amazing supporting cast including Rob Riggle and JM Higgins this is absolutely enjoyable movie! It's as if Hallmark made a Halloween movie, the special effects aren't going to wow you but the story and the love will make you smile : )

The first skit after the monalogue entitled Hot Girl Hospital is undeniably exactly how a hospital will perform in 15 -20 years from now. It is also how hospitals are depicted in the movie Idiocracy. This is no longer a satire or parody but more of a fore-telling of what appears to be inevitably a huge problem for our society. And our solution is to make comedic skits to hopefully exacerbate and even accelerate the problem?? At a certain point we have to become more aware of the fact that the art we create, regardless of how funny it may be, that it's affects on the society may potentially be devastating...

This is a movie of actual enjoyment! The lighting technique is a bit of risk but it was surprisingly amazing.

If you are looking for the plot to not be convoluted by the protagonist's self induced mistakes, then Yes!

If you want a break from the unstoppable, over intelligent bad guy, then Yes!

And if you were looking for this movie to be summed up in a single word, then Perfect!

Listen, I respect Regina Hall but there are so many talented black female actors, but this chick gets all the damn work. Why??

Hollywood is becoming so myopic! They have lost the artful nature of film and concentrate completely on a sellable product..

And stop trying to recreate the chemistry of Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder! It's not organic and is starting to become cliche.

The 3rd season of all the Netfix shows are terrible! Season 3 is the equivalent of wearing a red shirt on a Star Trek away mission!

It's actually becoming comical with how all the story's convulsions are self induced. The characters creat a problem and the solution is the plot.

Add in an unstoppable bad guy and BOOM, you are now a writer for television!

This show is phenomenal because we get to see a side of Lance Reddick nobody was prepared for. Mr. Reddick normally gives a performance so polished it makes Kelsey Grammar's Frazier look homeless. But Lance's quotes throughout this show are unbelievably amazing! You have to constanly pause and rewind because this is some FUNNY stuff!

It's a prime example of the writers hating the audience for loving their creation. The writers would love nothing more than to stop writing this show but they can't because the audience loves it!

So if you're wondering why it unwatchable, because it was completely by design.

A Movie That Summoned The Rock Gods!

Anthrax is Back!! Lol No but seriously, a very well homage to a time of long ago! It goes to show you that hair bands, grudge, heavy and rock might be gone but will never be forgotten!

If you really want to see what it is like to put the defibrillator paddles on the heart of Rock to bring it back to life, , in the final performance, I suggest that you mute the movies audio and overlay it with Måneskins' song Zitti E Buoni!

It's crazy that I remember as a child, watching her play Penny on Good times.

It absolutely blows my mind looking back at at it all!

In a world oversaturated with CGI this is a breathe of fresh air!

This is keeping an old style art form alive and I love it!

Eternals (2021)

ReWatch it at a 1.5x Speed

If you increase the playback speed to 1.5x it takes away the dragged out slowness and it becomes a half decent movie.

The actors speak relatively slow throughout so the voices at an increased speed sound normal.

More importantly, the increased playback speed makes the action scenes look PHENOMENAL!!

Eternals (2021)

ReWatch it at 1.6x Speed!!

The movie is so slow and drawn out that when you change the playback speed to 1.6x, it makes a terrible movie actually watchable.

They speak so slow in the movie that increasing the playback speed makes it sound normal!

And increasing the playback speed takes the fight scene way up and they actually look like superheros!!
