Avatar: The Way of Water (2022)
It's even better than the first one.
Please just watch this movie. Don't even read the reviews first. This movie is in my opinion the best one I can't wait for them to come out with the next one. I'm sure it will be just as good. The ending is a pretty rough tear jerker, the movie overall has very lovely emotional moments in it. The story starts out pretty intense in the beginning, so many plot twists. I have no idea why the rating of this movie isn't higher, or why people are leaving terrible reviews, saying this movie has no magic? No plot? Beautiful story. I'm even more impressed than when I watched the first one. The way of water is a very beautiful movie and the visual effects are so amazing. The story is not "light" it is tense, it is heavy, it's so magical. 10/10 I would absolutely recommend. They really outdid themselves on this one.
The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022)
They finally messed up the franchise.
I honestly wish they would redo this entire movie. All of the voice actors were different, the animation was so bad. It was like a goodwill version of ice age.
The Unforgivable (2021)
Maybe a second one?
This movie was actually really good. Id recommend it. The only negative thing id say about it is I think they rushed the ending a bit. They could've let it play out more for sure.
The Willoughbys (2020)
So good
Literally fell in love with this movie the second I watched it. It is dark at times but like dark comedy. It's such a good watch. Don't listen to bad reviews just try it out.
Voyagers (2021)
Questionable
It's an okay movie. I'm not sure if it's nerve racking or just frustrating to be honest. Just prepubescent teens making irrational decisions out of spite, and people just blindly listen because two people made up an "Alien" to justify their murder cover up. I honestly don't think the entire crew could've made it especially making the decisions they did. It was kind of intriguing but also super annoying. The kid who plays jack, I just cant. I honestly wish they would just completely get rid of his character all together. He made the movie so much more annoying and so did Kai. Kai is just a dollar general version of Nat Wolff. I definitely wish the movie had a better ending and showed at least a little bit of the 3rd generation who reached the planet. All we get to see is a bunch of teens throwing hissy fits and we can't even see where it was all supposed to begin in the first place? Kind of ridiculous. Don't think I'd really recommend this movie. Not Tye Sheridans best, honestly. He's capable of way better than this sub par acting.
Awake (2021)
It's not a bad movie, but
It's a pretty decent movie overall but it's so slow, the entire time. And it's obvious who the main characters are but they definitely go out of the way to remind you who's the important characters. If it wasn't so slow it would be good but I had a hard time keeping my girlfriend awake for the movie because it was so slow she kept falling asleep, and at the end they tried to stretch it out like dude end the movie.
Tell Me Who I Am (2019)
What would you do?
I'm honestly speechless after watching this. You almost can't imagine what they could've been going through or even thinking at such a young age. I understand why Marcus chose the decision he did. What a terrible burden it must have been to carry that weight on your shoulders, and not have anyone to talk to or get an explanation. Everyone is silent and unspoken about the terrible things that happen but at the same time it's a terrible thing his brother did to him. Not telling him that information. Watching him build a relationship with the woman who abused him. Not giving him that chance to tell her how he feels and give his piece of mind so he can finally know who he is and what happened to him and be able to move on. He doesn't learn this tremendous heinous thing that his mother did to them both until he's 54 years old. It hurts my heart, I understand why Marcus wouldn't want to ruin his brothers new life with this burden and trauma on his shoulders but at the same time who are you to take someone's trauma and who they are away from them. It's a tragic complicated story. I can't imagine what Marcus must have went through and how he felt. Knowing all of this and being alone in all of it.
Ava (2020)
Why are these ratings so negative??
This movie was actually pretty well put together. I loved the choice of actors and actresses. A couple of scenes I could've done without but overall it was pretty good. Of course they have cliché fighting moments what assassin movie doesn't. Ignore the bad reviews and watch it. A John malkovich movie is ALWAYS a good one.
Bo Burnham: Inside (2021)
Cinematic Masterpiece
This is quite possibly the best thing I have ever had the pleasure of watching. All of the songs are catchy and quirky, not like any of his other specials. I love that all of his work is different and so unique. I wish I could give it a higher rating because this deserves a solid 20/20. This film was so relatable, I could never get tired of watching this. Bo burnham you have outdone yourself this time.
Wrong Turn (2021)
The foundation
This doesn't tie in to the wrong turn films at all I got super excited thought they made another one. These movies are a go to for scary/horror. Don't get me wrong the movie was creepy and had me on edge it was still very good but I don't like that they passed it off as a wrong turn movie because it doesn't connect with any of the others. I'd definitely watch it, it's pretty gory and creepy but don't give your hopes up lol.
Scoob! (2020)
Worth the watch
I read most of the reviews and I can't understand why people hate this movie? Obviously it's not going to be like the original scooby doo movies it's 2020 of course they're going to make old cartoons make a come back for millennials. It was pretty good. It's a bit of a tear jerker at certain scenes but it's a good movie. Literally don't pay attention to the unnecessary negative comments about this movie. It's good.
American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally (2021)
Not bad, but not too good.
It honestly wasn't that bad, but mainly the girls acting was just not good or the singing either. And just the concept of the movie was dumb. I get it was based off a true story the fact that she actually had to serve 12 years over something that stupid baffles me because it's ignorant. It had potential to be a great film if they would've only changed actresses.
Playing with Fire (2019)
Don't watch it
Don't get me wrong I know it's not a very serious movie, but it was so awkward. SO awkward. I don't even want to finish it. Uncomfortable movie silence. Suuuuper unfunny. I don't even understand how it has 5 stars this movie is so lower than that.
