Reacher (2022)
The Entertainment Industry made something entertaining
I understand the social importance of Hollywood and am not knocking meaningful movies. But, not everything is a teaching moment. Sometimes a little escapism after a long day is enough. This is fantastic as that. Rolling through all the great tropes. Prison fight check. Bar fight check (and check). Local ruffian fight check. And so on. It's done real well.
Dexter: New Blood: Sins of the Father (2022)
Horrible
Just a cowardly end to a great show. It is ok to kill Dexter but to change his personality to and vilify him to do it is chickencrap. Most of Hollywood is chickencrsp.
Heels (2021)
It's really quite good
Really love the ensemble, the twists, and the drama. A well produced show.
Midnight in Paris (2011)
There is a reason they use the formula
Not a Woody Allen fan but this was a very enjoyable romantic comedy with some science fiction sprinkled in.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
Its a good Rambo Movie
A little Xenophobic, and a lot fantastical, but it was an entertaining and fitting end to a great franchise.
Money, Explained (2021)
Boring
Maybe the worst thing on Netflix. I don't mind the agenda but it's just not interesting.
Gulliver's Travels (2010)
A bowl of lucky charms with too many marshmallows
Great cast, big budget, redemption story with cool twist, well filmed, and well acted. But it's just not that great. It's watchable. Just seems like it should have been better.
Big Shot (2021)
Really a good show
It's a redemption story with really great characters. Its is really respectful to many perspectives in life (except perhaps ivory tower academics). This is my first review. I have seen a lot of bad movies that almost made me sign up for an account--but it took a good one to get me to pull the trigger. I really love the fact that it is a well written show that seems to be interested in bringing us all together without clobbering us over the head with the current tendency to over-preach, The show celebrates virtue with nary a hint of forced virtue signaling. Bravo.
