One of the best found-footage movies I've ever seen.
4 July 2023
The overall plot of this movie is quite absurd to say the least, but me and my partner had a lot of fun watching it because of it.

All the people who mentioned "bad acting" in their reviews must have been watching a completely different movie than me. The acting was really solid from all of the actors. It was far better than in most of such movies.

It was also fun seeing that the director wasn't afraid to make a movie that openly criticizes the Catholic church and the way that a lot of people perceive it, so as nothing more than a huge criminal organisation hiding in plain sight.

If you like the found footage genre, you'll definitely like this movie. My partner loves this genre and even she said that it's one of the best ones she ever watched!

Utter joke of a movie. They couldn't even hide the fact it's not filmed in USA.

The movie was beyond awful. The main character actress was just terrible and the plot was below mediocre. The only plus of it was that the gas station really did look like a roadside one somewhere in US.

Biggest gripe though? The fact it's supposed to be set in USA and yet the director couldn't hide that it isn't being shot there. All the interiors give it away, as they look like virtually every older building in any of the Eastern European countries (Poland, Czechia, Slovakia etc.). I'm from one the said countries and the "supposed" setting wasn't convincing to at all.

The director of this movie should look for a different career overall.

2 Stars just for the gore effects. AVOID LIKE FIRE!

Warning: Spoilers
So before the movie got released I've read multiple articles about it. I've even seen somebody writing in a review that it's the best British horror in years. I don't know what the person writing that review taken before writing it, but I want some as well.

The movie seemed interesting for about 25 minutes, then I've watched the rest of it as I've already started. I will never get the time I've spent on watching it back.

There was literally no plot in the movie whatsoever, nothing made sense at all, as if the director didn't have a clue what he wanted to make in the first place. Acting was also pretty bad. The only good thing about it were gore effects that were top-notch.

There was some sort of a virus having its origin in some sort of a fungus so I thought that there will be some kind of people turned in to some kind of fungal-infected monsters, this would make it far more interesting.

Just avoid it if you can. Trust me, you'll not regret not watching it.
