Modern Family: I Love a Parade (2018)
Not as bad as people say
This was a pretty okay episode. About on par with most of season 9, which I thought was just okay. It certainly doesn't deserve the hate it's been getting in on here.
Hawkeye: So This Is Christmas? (2021)
Best 2021 Marvel Disney+ Finale
This was such a great episode. Didn't feel rushed like the others, buuuuttttt.....
Surely they didn't kill Kingpin. I think they left intentionally ambiguous, but if that's the last that we see of this character, I will not be happy. Also a super disappointing post credits.
Modern Family: Spuds (2020)
A clip show done right
A clip show that actually has a plot that makes sense writ it to be a clip show, whilst also not showing too many clips or relying on past clips to create the comedy. Well done Modern Family.
Seinfeld: The Alternate Side (1991)
THESE PRETZELS ARE MAKING ME THIIIIIIIRRRRRRRSSSZSZZSSSTTTTYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡
And that is the humour of it. Woody Allen didn't know what he was more missing out on.
Community: Wedding Videography (2015)
Now this is a man that knows...
How to marry his cousin.
Yeah that's pretty much it.
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018)
Fast food movie
I fully get that the story construction isn't that good and the movie has a lot of problems, but I still enjoy watching it. It's like fast food, it's not great but I still enjoy eating it. I like the world building, the cast, and the universe in general.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine: The Good Ones (2021)
Show, don't tell
This is an incredibly frustrating episode. I understand the message that they are trying to communicate here, and I'm fine with them communicating that message, but they do in such a heavy handed, black and white (no pun intended) way that it comes off way too preachy. It feels like they are trying to shove the message down your throats, as if they need to overtly state it as much as possible because they don't trust the audience to understand it. The messaging can also feel a bit confusing at times, as it can come off like they are saying that cops are all the bad guys, when most of them out there are people trying to do the right thing. There are better ways of portraying messages on tv, and they've done it before with episodes like season 4's Moo Moo, which was trying to portray a similar message. The best way to portray a message on tv is to do it subtly, not to force it in the audience's face. It's not that you can't have the characters talk about it, but you need to do it in a way that isn't so in your face. On a more positive side there were funny moments in this episode, and I did find Charles' story quite fitting for the character, even if it did teeter on the edge of what I was talking about earlier.
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018)
I don't get any of this multiverse stuff, but I like it. I love movies!

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Inescapable (2019)
As close to perfect as you can get
What else can I say. It is almost flawless. A great character study of Fitz and Simmons.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)
BEST SHOW EVER
When I first saw agents of shield, I made the mistake of stopping about 2 episodes into the first season. I found it kind of boring, and at that point Disney+ Australia only had the first season. So I stopped watching, and didn't pick it up again until COVID hit. I mean there was nothing better to do. And until halfway into season 1, I still found it pretty boring. But after that, this show became AMAZING. It was almost like they fired a bunch of people half way through production, and hired a new creative team. It felt like a completely different show. Now this is one of my favourite shows of all time.
Friends (1994)
One of the most overrated shows ever
This show is so overrated. I don't get how it is as popular as it is. The humour is just lazy most of the time, and it relies too much on the audience laughter to help the jokes land. A perfect example of what doesn't work about this show is in an episode where Joey is looking for a stage name. Chandler suggests he makes it Joseph Stalin, and Joey doesn't pick up on the joke. If this was a clever show like Modern Family or The Office, Joey would go to the audition and make a fool of himself. There would be clever writing, he would probably say something that would be interpreted wrong because of his name. However, since this is FRIENDS, he comes home to the apartment and says something like "Apparently there already is someone called Joseph Stalin, and murdered a bunch of people". That is the whole joke. That's not clever. That's not even that funny. It is just lazy comedy writing.
Modern Family (2009)
BEST SITCOM EVER
I started watching Modern Family last year (out of order because of how they air it on 7filx), and it is what kept me going through lockdown. It has such clever writing that you don't get from shows like FRIENDS or The Big Bang Theory. Why they are so popular, I will never figure out. Even in the later seasons (when the shows quality starts to decline), there are stills some great episodes like A Year of Birthdays, Commencement, Mother!, and the finale. At least it stayed true what the show was originally about, unlike The Office. It's a shame this show is slowly becoming more forgotten.
