Selling the OC (2022)
Scripted, not reality!
I really can't sum up how I feel about this series. Loved Selling Sunset, well the first couple of seasons, then it just became more and more apparent that these shows are definitely scripted. This series highlights that even more so. Every single scene in this show was so forced and staged. The biggest example is that Jason sends them all on a private yacht to say thanks for reaching £100 million in sales, but the only people on the yacht are all those in conflict with each other. Firstly; there's probably about 20 more people as part of the Oppenheim team that we don't see, so why aren't they included? Secondly; convenient that they're put on a yacht where no one can leave. Fake rubbish!
The Time Traveler's Wife (2022)
Who did the casting?!
I'm a huge fan of the book. The movie was ok but at least they got the casting correct but this TV series is not working for me. I just cannot warm to Rose Leslie as Clare. Why is her character so angry, ALL the time? Really disappointing.
Don't Look Up (2021)
Look up!
This movie is genius and funny but in a, "I'm laughing but actually frightened too", kind of way because as far fetched as this movie is, it is totally possible in this sad world that we live in today. If you didn't find it funny, then you're probably who this movie is aimed at...
You (2018)
Love it!
I loved season 1, hated season 2 but loved season 3. Spent the whole season wondering how they could possibly get away with everything they've done but the ending doesn't disappoint. If you have issues with the political correctness they bring into this season, then perhaps ask yourself why it bothers you so much.
Tenet (2020)
My head hurts...
I have absolutely no idea what I just watched and the more I think about it, the less I know. The dialogue is so hard to follow, my brain just can't absorb any of it or follow this really confusing storyline. In hindsight I think it might have a hypnotic effect because there are blank moments in my memory now.
He's All That (2021)
I fell asleep...
It's pretty pathetic and some. I fell asleep, woke up and turned it off because even in my sleep I couldn't bear to have it on. It's actually quite sad to think this is how modern day teenagers behave. I didn't finish watching it but I have a pretty good idea how it ends...
Motel Makeover (2021)
It's ok...
Apart from the obvious, which is the way they speak, I honestly thought they had a hearing problem which made them speak that way but no, they're apparently "normal". Now the 2nd obvious point is clearly their lack of renovation knowledge. Why would you leave draining and re-doing the pool as the last task? Don't even get me started on their lack of taste. Watching this show just highlights how cheap and tacky that motel has been renovated but then again it is a motel... I've seen many design shows but this is my least favourite of all! PS: The contractor is the only good thing about the show, felt so sorry for that poor guy.
Veronica Mars (2004)
I don't understand...
This show has survived, been revived and restarted only and purely because of its huge fan base, yet season 4 they decided to stab the fans directly in the heart by killing off Logan. We stuck with it, loved it because of the Veronica and Logan dynamic, the good they brought out in each other. I truly don't understand why we couldnt get a happy ending? We've waited how many years...?! I wish I never watched season 4!
Virgin River (2019)
Doesn't make sense!
It's been 3 seasons but it appears that only 3 months have past.
Charmaine is having twins, bought her baby items, booked her hospital room, met someone and got married but she still have NO clear baby bump.
The only doctor and nurse in Virgin River but they are literally NEVER at work.
Hope not being around this season was actually the only good point.
Preacher stuck picking up pieces and looking after a child of someone he never dated. Yeah very realistic.
And now the best for last.
Mel, goes to LA for a couple of days to be at her sisters side but then remembers she has some frozen embryos and, on a whim, decides to get them implanted. She's now pregnant and not sure who the father could be. Firstly, they will ALWAYS make sure you aren't pregnant before any procedure like that. Secondary, you can't just pop into your doctors office and get implanted. Literally could take weeks before that can happen. The most absurdly far fetched storyline I have ever seen. Did no one writing this script think to do some research?!
