New Amsterdam: In a Strange Land (2021)
That ish needs to go!
Like what in the effing heck?! Veronica ousted Karen? What!!! No wonder there aren't any good review of this show after bringing in Veronica. I get that maybe the writers were trying "to do something" here but NO, Veronica isn't it. My anger issues could never stay at a hospital with this woman being the medical director. Karen got the bad part of the stick because she had more votes to get her out instead of Veronica. That's bad. Just bad. Veronica is the epitome of every hospital, nursing home, rehab center, and anything else medical these days. If we had a Veronica in all of the businesses today, there would be more sick people and more people that don't want to get help at hospitals. Despicable season and I'm pretty sure I won't be happy with the last season either.
New Amsterdam: Harmony (2021)
Sad excuse for an episode
I originally watched this show because I loved that Max was all for patients and to hell with anything else. I cannot tell you how much I hate that Veronica is replacing him. She's a money grubbing, manipulative woman. Not to say that Max hasn't been doing that for the first 3-4 seasons, but he did it for the patients. This woman is better of being on the board than running the place.
Also, there is so much conflict, arguing back and forth and for what? All I hear is Veronica this and Veronica that. Max hasn't even left yet and she's just pushing her thoughts on everybody and changing things even before Max has gone. This whole addition of Veronica is making this show hard to watch.
New Amsterdam: This Is All I Need (2021)
I'm sorry but when do we hide/lie things from our kids?
This episode started out really great but then we end up where Max is with his daughter visiting his wife/mother of his child's grave. I get that everyone grieves in their own way, including me, having lost two parents... he left his daughter playing nearby her mother's grave and not really telling her why they were visiting the graveyard. If it were me, C'mon... SHOW your daughter her mother's grave and why you're both visiting the cemetery. Truth rules over all. I would never have my daughter believe anything else other than the truth as to why where we are or what we're doing at the moment. Wrong on Max.
The Game: Intervention, My Ass (2014)
I'm sorry but that girl was out of line
Just finished watching this episode and I swear to God Brandy's character Chardonnay was totally out of line to have an "intervention" for Tasha because she didn't tell her potential baby daddies that she's pregnant. I feel that it's the mother's decision on when she's ready to tell these men. Chardonnay straight up told a bunch of people Tasha was pregnant and felt the need to have an intervention so that they could what I assume was to "force" her to tell both baby daddies the situation. The only people Tasha told was Malik and Brandy; she specifically asked Chardonnay to keep it between them and she did not. I found Char as annoying and as a miss goody-two-shoes.
Enterprise: In a Mirror, Darkly (2005)
Didn't care for this episode
I really, really didn't care for this episode. I did however rate it a 5; I mean, there were some funny parts and I guess watching the crew in a different light (dark parallel) got me thinking what it would be like if they weren't the way they normally are.
Dune (2021)
Don't watch if you haven't watched the original
I myself have not watched the original Dune so it made my watching experience very difficult as I couldn't follow exactly what was going on. Usually the movies I watch explain who's who but not this one. I constantly had to ask the person I was watching it with what was going on or why a certain group of people were fighting, etc. The only two things I enjoyed looking at was Oscar Issac and Jason Momoa.
