Unfrosted (2024)
Wanted to like this so much
Seinfeld is my favorite show. I love Jerry's humor, I've seen Seinfeld countless times, and I even saw Jerry live in New York City a few years ago.
I was waiting for this movie to come out and had extremely high hopes.
It's just so, so sad what happened here. No plot, the scenes drift, the jokes fall flat, and the acting is horrible.
It doesn't make sense how something with Jerry Seinfeld and Jim Gaffigan could fail so miserably.
The scenery is quite great, I love nostalgia as much as the next person, but I just couldn't wait for this movie to end. There haven't been many good movies released recently and I hoped this would have broken the curse. The curse of the bad movies continues.
Unlocked: A Jail Experiment (2024)
Cool concept but a good reminder that these people are thugs
The premise is simple. Give prisoners a little bit of freedom and they will form groups, pretend like they have rules to abide by, and act like they are able to self sustain in a pod with elevated privileges.
The show had a slow start but was pretty intriguing. I was pretty much onboard with this show but it's disgusting that they jumped a new guy for cheating at cards. Bloods vs crops situation and it's disgusting. These thugs are acting the same way they act on the streets.
They deserve to be isolated 23 hours a day. They act like animals and it's just a painful watch from the last 4 episodes.
There may be some "respect" between these prisoners. It's a good concept with this experiment, but don't forget that more than half these people will be tried for murder (this was a quote from a prisoner in this series).
It sucks for the few prisoners who were on a good track with this experiment. It makes sense the recidivism rate is so high for these animals.
Suits (2011)
First part of the series is gold, last two seasons are garbage
The first 4 seasons are epic, full of cliff hangers and I couldn't wait to watch the next episode. The series started off so exciting! What's going to happen to Mike?
The acting was always terrible but at least there was a little bit of drama to keep you intrigued. The way the writers took you on a rollercoaster ride the first half of the series was magical, it was superbly written! Also, the views of New York were always fun to look at during Sven transitions.
The show goes off a cliff the last 2 seasons. The acting becomes worse, the writing becomes lazy, and the characters are just painful to watch. The only decent character worth watching in the last 2 seasons was Louis, everyone else was so flat and boring.
The first half of this series is a 9 out of ten, the last two seasons don't deserve to be talked about.
The IT Crowd (2006)
Brilliant from start to finish
This is one of the funniest comedies ever. The wit, the humor, the ridiculousness, it's amazing.
The two main characters, Moss and Roy, are a bit of a cliche version of computer nerds, but if you've worked in IT then you know there are characters with hints of Moss or Roy.
The genius behind the show are the one liners. I've got my non-IT friends to watch this show and they are always quoting this show. Some have even bought t shirts that the characters wear in the show.
One hilarious scene is when there is a robot with a bomb and it stops working so the policeman screams out to Moss and says "the robot isn't working" to which Moss replies "what operating system is it using?" to which the policeman responds "Vista" and Moss yells "we're going to die!"
Great show. I've watched it through 5 times over the past decade.
