Abbott Elementary (2021)
Quinta Brunson Deserves Every Single Flower She's Receiving💐
Who is rating this show less than 10 stars?! SHOW YOURSELVES!!! This show is brilliant!
Quinta Brunson is a genius.
Lisa Walter is a natural.
Sheryl Lee Ralph is a privilege to see.
Tyler James Williams is a breath of fresh air.
Janelle James is a fun time.
The entire cast has such chemistry and together, they both create hilarity and garner empathy. They showcase both the pride and downfalls of inner city schools. They represent the culture so incredibly well and they're honestly creating uncomplicated magic. The show provides such an escape. I'm so incredibly proud of Quinta Brunson. She has done well and deserves every single flower she is currently receiving. And so does the rest of the cast.
Fractured (2019)
Great movie. Kept my interest. Disappointed by the fantastic ending.
Man this movie kept me on the very edge of my seat! I was rooting for this man all the way through the movie and pissed off at everyone else for trying to make him feel crazy!
Overall, the ending was freaking fantastic, but disappointing for me personally, because I really wanted everything to be real, I wanted him to be the winner in the end by getting his family back, and I wanted him to prove to those cops that he wasn't crazy!!!
Oh well, such is art - doesn't always cater to our taste, but still a great masterpiece!
Home Economics (2021)
Love it!
I love this show so much! So lighthearted, not too serious, but hits on a serious topic or two each episode, super diverse, and funny! I stumbled across it and binge watched the 25 episodes that are out right now! I hope it keeps going!

Details, Details, Details!!!
Wow, the thought put into the details of this show is beyond magnificent!
1. I love how they showed that everyone in a DV shelter isn't dirt poor. Anyone from any background can experience DV.
2. I love how they showed one woman abruptly going back to her ex and Alex being completely shocked by it...then showed Alex going back to her ex in a less abrupt and less subtle way and not even noticing how she was being sucked right back in until she was too far back in and isolated again. They showed the process of how it happens and why it happens and how it's not always so cut and dry.
3. I love that this show had a "black savior." Movies typically have rich white people who swoop in and save the day...I loved the switch up.
4. I love that they showed the true ins and outs of a DV shelter and how they are safe havens instead of over dramatizing it and making it look like a dump where rules are always bent and people are always unsafe. As a person who worked in a DV shelter...this was exactly how it is - a very decent place with smart rules in place.
5. I love how raw they were. The pregnant woman who was low on cash and just needed help cleaning with no judgement was raw. Alex calculating her money being gone before it was even gone was raw. Alex leaving her mom right where she was instead of her coming with her and wrapping this series up in a bow at the end was raw. The dad not stepping up for his daughter because of his own demons was raw.
Can you tell I loved every single detail of this series. I wish there was a part two of her college journey. Thank you for this.
Nurses (2020)
It's DRAMA for Goodness Sakes
I truly enjoyed this show! I have friends who are nurses who truly enjoyed this show. They recognize that it's DRAMA and it's supposed to be DRAMATIC. NOT real life. This isn't a documentary or a biopic.
La Brea (2021)
Manifest Meets LOST
I'm not a tough critic on movies and shows. I just try to watch them for what they are and allow myself to be entertained by what it gives. This show isnt bad to me. Sure it's been done before in some form, but so has everything else...there's nothing original left. We're in the age of recycled material and I've just accepted it lol.
