Did a good enough job.

What was supposed to be a horror movie turned into a crime scene pretty quick. The typical "don't judge a book by it's cover" is the theme of the movie.

With a 1.5 hour runtime, the movie doesn't beat around the bush and gets to the point pretty quick - another pro.

Why are there so many postive ratings?

"Based on true events" and a "7.7 rating" made me watch this movie. But to my disappointment, the movie gave me a headache. Not worth spending 2.5 hours of your time. There are so many names, so many intricacies, it feels like you're running in a maze. Just when you feel like FINALLY you've found a way out, here comes another twist (not the kind which keeps you at the edge of your seat, the kind that wants you to bang your head on a wall).

The ending was also quite distressing - probably a strong depiction of our flawed judicial system?

A movie that's too long

The movie is good, but too predictable (maybe for me only). There's no hero, no good vs bad, all the characters are flawed in their own way. All the characters have done justice to their roles. The crime's ending is left unexplained, which was kinda weird.
