The Dark Knight (2008)
Oh My God!
Just came back from the theater. When I first entered the theater I expected to come out saying, "That was one of the best movies I have ever seen." I came out with that reaction. From start to finish, The Dark Knight will leave you at the edge of your seat. The acting was incredible and Academy worthy. This movie owns Batman Begins in every aspect, along with all the movies I have seen in theaters this year, including Iron Man. Do not even wait for the DVD, this is one of the films you must see in theaters, regardless if you are a movie fan or not. The movie is indescribable and no review, even professional, will describe how amazing this film was. This movie even made me forget how good Wall-E was, and don't even make me laugh about Hancock. This is the ultimate movie to see this summer in theaters, and better yet, of all time. I would not be surprised if it sustains on IMDb top 10. This is an absolute must see, whether or not you have seen Batman Begins.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008)
best one yet
I have been a huge fan of Indiana Jones and loved the first 3 movies. When I went to the pre screening it blew my mind how incredible the 4th one could be years later. This is the best one yet and if you miss out on this movie it will be the biggest mistake ever. The plot is as original as the first 3 and the acting was beautiful, the story line couldn't have went any better. This was such an amazing experience to see on the big screen as well. This was directed so well. I didn't think Speilburg could still pull it off. I really do not know what else I can say about Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull except for the part that you must see this yourself for your own reaction. I will not release any spoilers for you. I really would not be surprised if this film makes the top of the IMDb 250 just like the first Indiana Jones.
Rambo (2008)
Amazing Movie!
I just came back from seeing Rambo and I am honestly speechless. This movie completely lives up to its hype and has some of the most amazing action scenes I've ever seen in my life. I don't care what people say about his age, Sylvester Stallone did an amazing job acting and directing this movie. In fact, I think he did a better job now then in the previous movies. You will love every part of Rambo in this one; his voice, his little emotion, the only one being anger, his very few diologue. Rambo is not for everyone though. Before seeing it just realize this movie has basically no plot whatsoever, just complete killing and you will see why this movie was almost NC-17. I highly recommend this movie to any action fan and am giving it a 10 out of 10.
Cloverfield (2008)
Possibly the greatest movie ever...
Before you read this review let me just say I've been waiting a very long time for this movie. Ever since the mysterious trailer featured in Transformers, I have been completely psyched for the release of this movie and did some research online. This is everything how I pictured it and more. I enjoyed every single second of this movie. It sure kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. Throughout this movie you will laugh, cry, and say "I can't believe that just happened!" and leave you wondering what will happen next. They did an AMAZING job with the camera in first person, and easily would not be the same without it. There are many questions you will ask yourself after you see the movie, and leaving you wanting to see it again as I definitely will. Some parts there was so much happening in the environment it was hard to tell what was going on, which is what makes this movie unique though. I will not tell any spoilers at all, but I was very mad when I heard people say "What! That movie sucked!" at the end. Before you do the same if you see the movie, just remember the intensity of every second of this movie. I will be disappointed if this doesn't make the Top 250 because it most definitely deserves the title. This is I think one of the best movies I've ever seen and the most adrenalin rushing experience I've ever seen in the cinema. I HIGHLY recommend this movie to anyone! I can't think of anyone who wouldn't enjoy this movie.
One Missed Call (2008)
Hilarious movie...
This was without doubt the worst and most disappointing movie I have ever seen in the cinema. I'm not a big horror fan, but I figured I'd try this out since the previews made it actually look like a movie. This movie deserves to be on the top of the WORST MOVIES list and can easily be one of the worst movies of 2008. I'm not going to get deep into the storyline, but let's just say it was a funny movie. If you're looking for a comedy see this, because this was the most pathetic piece of trash. This is not in the least scary and the storyline was beyond awful. They get a call hearing their death. They wander randomly around the street seeing weird faces. They die. Repeat. The ending will make you laugh the hardest. I think I lauged harder in this movie than in Superbad. Biggest waste of 10 bucks ever. Stay home and watch SAW.
