Nerve (2016)
Idea is not original. Just a newly Devour
If you watched Devour back in 2005 then here's the remake of it. Also, pretty much like the very well known Blue Whale game. Actors are fine but the idea is way too stretched and unreasonable.
Could've been better.
Aterrados (2017)
What the heck did I just watched?
Don't lose your time with it. You will regret. The idea could be digged to be a genuine horror movie but no...they just picked a finger out of a hand and rolled around it. It's very poor played, the effects are the worst and the story is completely missing.
Spoilers:
A "haunted" house by a naked man troubles its inhabitant - that later shouts to a poor boy drinking water from his yard to scare him and position him in the middle of the street to be hit by a bus. That's the main subject. Later his mother finds the corpse back at home sitting at the table. I couldn't find anything worse than this. Then, all the neighbors drinking tap water die. A supposed team of 3 grandpa's try to figure it out the impossible and die in the most stupid way. Later to find the husband of one of the dead girls in a facility pointing to one of the dead guys (invisible to the others) to throw a chair. The police officer is supposed to be guilty for killing them. End of the movie.
What could be:
They speak about parallel worlds and different perspectives. This is a great starting point. So, the boy dies, his blood runs in the sewer making the water contagious. Everyone who would drink the water would be able to see the other perspective and see in the world of the dead. To have an initial flow could describe what happened to the first house of Walter. We see him calling the doctor consistently telling her that something strange is happening at the place. What's the story of that house? What happened before the boy's death because he was the only to see them to that point. A lot of potential unused. Sad! Very sad!
The Valhalla Murders (2019)
Copycat of Hinterland
Same story!! If you watched Hinterland don't lose time with it! Even the killers are the same so you know from the very beginning who is victim and who is attacker!
The only thing that differ is that the male detective from Hinterland is away from family due to a child loss for which he feels guilty and the female detective from this one is single raising her child.
It's OK if you didn't watch the other one. Well played, typically nordic as you already know.
