What is going on?
29 April 2024
What is the actual point of this? I love Stephen Fry and most of his tv shows and books.

However my husband and I started watching this and thought it was a joke as it was so bad. The graphics are terrible - like some 90s kids show - and the information seemed to contradict popular recent discoveries on dinosaurs.

We can only imagine that he was paid a lot of money for this. As you will see from other reviews, I'm not the only person to feel this way.

Not exactly what we expect from Stephen Fry but we forgive him as we love everything else he's ever done.

Just filling up now to get to required characters. The End.

Lost its way
29 April 2024
I was very interested in learning about Marie Curie and how she worked to discover plutonium, and I like Rosamund Pike too, and the first half an hour or so was interesting. However after that it seemed to just concentrate on her personal life and affairs and completely moved away from her important scientific work.

I didn't end up finishing the film - I ended up just fast forwarding through to see if it came back to her work but it didn't seem to.

I need to write more to fill up this review so will just keep typing until I have used the required characters to submit this, but my opinion is that it's not worth watching. The End.

Argylle (2024)

Went on far too long
16 April 2024
We were enjoying the film, the spy novel being played out next to the reality, Henry Cavill playing the fictional Argylle with great hair, Sam Rockwell and Bryce Dallas Howard were really good, the mystery of why they thought Elly could help them with their quest.

However, at about the 90 minute mark I looked to see how much longer there was to go and couldn't believe it had another 45 minutes. It just went on and on and on. We had enjoyed it but it was just like "oh another impossible situation, another twist, another fight our way out scenario". Just could have been cut by 30 minutes at least.

Very good honest drama
21 February 2023
Not what I was expecting. This is a more realistic drama and not the typical action thriller I thought we were about to watch.

This is a more honest drama about life for a ex-SAS man suffering from PTSD and his son trying to survive day to day and overall together. As he gets into more and more debt, Worthington turns to his old sergeant to get some easy, but illegally earned, money.

Written, directed by and starring Matt Nable (ex NRL player) its a stunning piece of work.

Plus this is Edward Carmody's (16yo Billy) first tv or film appearance and I think he's amazing. An amazing piece of drama.
