Shingeki no Kyojin (2013)
Simply beautiful.
Attack on Titan has been my favorite show for a while now and the more I watch the better it becomes for me. I believe this is probably one of the only shows that becomes better when re-watching. The fact this is an "anime" will scare a lot of people away from it at first. Anime is clowned upon by a lot of people and seen as childish, while other people just don't want to watching something that is not in there 1st language and do not want to have to read subtitles.
This show is much more than just your typical action anime that appeals to the eyes and it doesn't take 20 episodes for you to realizes this isn't just about humans vs titans. The story written here is beyond anything I have ever seen and I believe to be the greatest story out of any t.v. Show. The complexity, the plot twists, the foreshadowing, how well written the characters are, how everything is connected, how you realize the answers where right in front of your face the whole time you just didn't realize it. AOT's story is beautiful beyond compare. There is not one bad episode. As the story shifts from different plots and different view points each one is just as good as the other. This show disserves much more respect from the community and should be placed A LOT higher on the top tv shows list as it has one of the best ratings but is all the was down in the 20s.
10/10 recommend and if you have time, re-watching the show after you've already seen it just makes it way better.
Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Masterpiece
Most people will be critical with their voting of this movie, but in my opinion it is nothing short of a masterpiece. From start to finish every singular scene in this film is beautifully shot and something that is hard to find in any other film, every single shot. From the sound track to the visuals, I found myself enjoying every second of this show as I watch officer k go through this journey and routing for him every step of the way. The plot can get a little shaky towards the end and on first watch I was confused for a second on why they just left officer k but captured Rick Deckard. Had to watch it a second time and I fully understood the plot and what was happening with it at the end. 10/10, one of my favorite films of all time.
Shin seiki Evangelion Gekijô-ban: Air/Magokoro wo, kimi ni (1997)
Masterpiece
This is among my top 3 movies of all time and probably my number 1. What this film did in. 87 minutes for me is something words almost can not describe. Every scene, every moment, so beautifully animated that even animes over 20 years cant reach its level, such Asuka vs mass produced evas. The voice acting throughout the entire film is beautiful. What Anno was able to get his staff to do be able to do is truly incredible. The sound track is Shiro Sagisu best by far, every song fit perfectly. You watch in the first half as everything the tv show had built up gets destroyed, then in the second half you get an absolute psychological trip going deep into shinjis mind, a moment in cinematography that has been matched by no other. And the final scene, leaves you in awe as you just watched nearly 90 minutes of WTF!? This film is severely over hated in my opinion and should be seen as one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) animated films of all time.
