A Murder at the End of the World: Chapter 7: Retreat (2023)
Same old, with more preaching
When Ray was introduced in the first episode, I felt "I, Robot" VIKI vibes. I wanted to be wrong. But saw the disappointing reveal.
The preaching does fit the state of the current chargpt generation. But looks like neither this generation not the viewers of the show have seen movies like "I, Robot". Or anything other similar movies or series episodes from startrek, stargate and the like. I do not think, as much as the fan base of the author would want us to believe, that this series is clever. Watching even the oldest comedic startrek episode feel like watching a gem after watching this regurgitated 'stuff'
Jango (2021)
There is no hope for Indian science fiction
Very bad and illogical copy of "Groundhog day". There is no humor neither seriousness in the plot. Illogical behavior from an esteemed brain surgeon. Brain hurting story and illogical dialogs. Now I have used illogical 3 times already. And very annoying voice over. To top it all, brightness is turned to 500% - every scene and every frame is very bright (except a few night scenes). Do people who make these movies even think about logic ever?
Nowhere to Hide (2009)
Not bad for relaxed viewing, but if you don't have time, don't waste any on this.
'Password hacker' is all the program you need to control every car, every camera, and be everywhere. If you ignore that part and understand the every one is incompetent and brain dump, then this movie is worth enjoying. Also forget that, if I were there at the end, and RoadLink talks to me, the first thing I would do is break that s**t then talk to the dying killer.
I would say when IMDb has a user rating of 7/10 or below for anything, make sure you read all the negative reviews before wasting time on movies like this. But I did have time to waste today and so enjoyed this. This is actually better than Skyfall, although I would rate it a 7/10.
Christmas Rush (2002)
Avoid at all costs
A totally pathetic attempt at a hero centric movie. Contain more plot holes than there are edited scenes. Seeing Dean Cain from "Ripley's believe it or not" as the hero, I thought it might be an OK movie. God was I wrong! Forget about ripping off Die Hard - it is an insult to the Die Hard series. A suspended police officer carries fully loaded guns with extra ammunition when shopping for a boutique!! No bad guy ever hurts him, even if he is stronger than our hero!! No bullet ever hits him!! He is always able to find where the bad guys are, while the bad guys always seems to forget that there is a suspended police officer on their trails. He kills all the bad guys, yet his wife preaches about killing to the villain!! Villain and the last remaining bad guys are always stupid enough to NOT kill him and let him follow them everywhere!! If these are spoilers for someone who wants to watch the movie, they don't know about the standard Hollywood formula for making movies. My advice, stay away from this one at all cost, even if your life depends on watching this one!!
