The Family Plan (2023)
Pretty cool movie for Friday's evening!
What you can expect from a movie with Mark Wahlberg is that there will be action, it will be funny and you will definitely have fun while watching it. And so it was this time. It's not a super ambitious movie, but it's good entertainment. At times a similar atmosphere to 'We're the Millers' (but note: certainly less funny).
Simple, uncomplicated plot, predictable (of course!), but really good entertainment for a Friday/Saturday evening. For me, Mark Wahlberg is a guarantee of a good movie, and that was the case this time.
Cool music is a nice addition. Really awesome Michelle Monaghan and Maggie Q!
Ghosted (2023)
It's not a must.
You can watch this movie, but nothing happens if you skip it. Really.
The script seems to have some chance, but the story itself is banal and predictable.
It was nice to see Adrien Brody in a different version. All the cameos were zapped (it's just a pity that only men appeared!).
Seeing Chris Evans being so charming in love only confirmed my belief that I would like to see him in some rom-com.
Throughout the movie, I had the impression that Ana de Armas was wearing the wrong matched wig. And I don't know if I'm getting old, but can't you really make a movie without using CGI?
Nothing will happen if you skip this movie, really.
A Picture of Her (2023)
You can watch it but... what for?
This story was going so well! But unfortunately, the creators did not use the potential.
While the main character (Tyler Hynes) plays quite OK and you can actually feel that he is the photographer, his film partner (Rhiannon Fish) is childish and does not reflect the character at all. She plays a 17-year-old imprisoned in the body of an adult woman (her facial expressions and sweet voice are so irritating that I thought about muting her voice).
This story... this story could have turned out very differently. Unfortunately we have another Hallmark movie. Eh.
I'm really looking forward to a good romantic comedy. Anyone?
Bros (2022)
Don't bother.
I endured 30 minutes of the film... I couldn't do more because I would just hurt myself. I watched the film embarrassedly and couldn't bring myself to watch it all.
If every script for gay rom com was like this, it is clear why there are so few movies.
This movie is so artificial and untrue plus totally not very funny. The jokes are embarrassing, and the dialogues seem to be written on the spur of the moment. Dialogues written so hard, unnatural. The characters are banal, stereotypical and shallow.
It could have been such a good movie!
I was really waiting for this movie! :(
Don't waste your time, watch "You've Got Mail" instead.
