The Requin (2022)
Alicia Silverstone couldn't save this movie
I honestly don't even know what to say other than I am so disappointed that in 2022 they have basically thrown CGI out the window. I think they spent more money paying Alicia Silverstone then on the actually movie because most of the plot because don't get me wrong
Alicia Silverstone is beautiful and thriving but she is not young enough to be playing a pregnant role that's just not believable I mean hell even the actor playing her husband was old it is not believable that they're. She is in her mid 40's and he's in his late 50's like come on the soul reason they're there is because she had a miscarriage and has PTSD and he was trying to take her mind off it with an expensive vacation in Vietnam on a floating villa hotel. What? That's not realistic and I get it's a movie and then her husband after he died "tragically" he tells her in a dream that she's pregnant again, like first of all with everything her body endured just during the storm scene would cause a miscarriage she literally had her whole body slammed against the villa floor, put through starvation and dehydration and lost who knows how much blood and then the CGI getting progressively worse don't get me started on the very last scene because that was awful you can literally see how photoshopped the upsidedown boat is that she's on it looks like they didn't even try to make it look like it belonged in the shot and I cringed when she looked up at the camera at the end because we're supposed be in on the joke the the buoy says "danger beyond this point" 🙄 it's not worth watching this movie I've never been so disappointed in a film before.
The Resort (2021)
I love bad movies but this is the WORST
What's really frustrating is that I LOVE bad horror movies but this one. Words can't even describe how much I hated this the plot idea was there but the ending omfg what even was that the Quality of this movie is so poor, like oh wow she was still at the resort the hole time but they didn't execute it right, like why tf was her and the half face girl just screaming at each other for one minute especially with the poor CGI. And whenever the dead characters were possed why to did she just look at it with mostly no emotion, like youre friend is literally getting his face ripped off and you're just gonna stand there and watch? And then when that same character was walked toward with his face still visibly ripped off and calling your name ominously you're still just gonna stand there blank expression? I think what made it really disappointing was I had higher hopes for this movie then what I was given cause usually I can tell when it's gonna be a bad scary movie but honestly when I saw it on Hulu I thought it was the one with Lucy Hale in it but that's called Fantasy island apparently. I liked the movie Sharknado more than this movie and that's saying a lot.
