The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Christmas Show (1991)
No less than 10/10
Whoever rated this episode less than a 10/10 never saw it. This is my favorite Christmas themed episode out of any 90s sitcom I've ever watched. Every other line was comedic gold and it had a dash of heart and mushy stuff as it should for this type of themed episode as well. I just finished it watching it as I do every year this time of year and I actually came on here to see who the writer was for this particular episode because I'd probably enjoy their other works too. This is a must see every holiday season. Oh, someone already mentioned this but incase you missed it, this episode contains the introduction of the Carlton dance too! Classic.
Full House: Greek Week (1990)
Bob Saget's Best Episode
Bob had the best comedic timing in this episode out of the whole series. Lori Laughlin was pretty funny too. Storyline had a good flow. The end was super cute. The only negative thing about this episode is that it reminds me of the sad episode that is to come later in the series.
As I'm typing this, Bob just said "I will never die." This is the first time I'm watching this after the tragedy, so that caught me off guard.
Anyways, overall it's a great episode out of the series. The twins were cute too!
"You had a beard! It was like kissing a goat!" LOL.
I've seen this a billion times and never get tired of it.
Family Matters: Eau de Love (1996)
Incorrect Trivia
This was a good episode for those Shippers out there. The trivia tidbit on this site has it incorrect when it says that this is the first hint that Laura loves Steve...heck no it's not if you watched the whole series. She starts defending him and liking him all the way back to season 4 if you paid any attention. One of my favorite episodes of them is when Laura goes to prom and invites Steve to dance with her after she is named prom queen. Was very sweet! Need to read between the lines ha. Anyways, this episode was pretty good overall. Carl and Harriet's plotline added some humor too. I travel a lot so I related to it.
Family Matters: Tips for a Better Life (1996)
Good Life Lesson
This is one of the more serious episodes of the series and I thought it was really good. Not sure why someone would give it a 5. I expected this one to be at the top of the ratings list.
Bambi (1942)
I Cried Watching This
I've been in a nostalgic mood lately, rewatching all the classics that I thought I forgot about. I just watched Bambi for the first time in......maybe 25 years? I'm 36 and Disney was all I watched growing up and yes I admit I even still quote Bambi in general conversation ha but of course nobody understands my references (uncultured swines). Anyways, I just watched it and had to pop on here to say this: WOW. This movie is 80 years old now and although I haven't seen it in a long time, every scene was familiar to me and I felt like no time has passed since I last saw it. Now, it is a slower paced, more in-depth type of movie so you have to be in the mood to watch it to enjoy it, but as everyone else has commented I agree that it is a beautiful, timeless, masterpiece!
