Bones and All (2022)
Good editing, boring movie
The most impressive thing about this movie was that they stretched the movie into more than 2 hours. It should have been 40 minutes max. (Don't change a thing and just cut out the long gaps and you get the same movie).
Boy meets girl type of movie. I wanted to love this absolutely because I was so so so excited! The trailer was so inviting as it showed glimpses of action, horror, romance! I wanted to go on the adventure too! Sadly, the reason that the trailer seemed so mysterious was that there was in fact not much to it. It dragged on for so long that people in the audience yawned and laughed at some of the ridiculous parts. 80% of the movie was spent on the road and there was no development. The actress did not portray emotions well (I blame the script too) as she only moved her eyes and made them bigger to show some emotion.
When the boy character (forgot her name but didn't matter) said 'Do you think I'm a bad person,' and the girl (also forgot name) said 'I would've done the same thing,' but then after responds with 'I think I love you' I laughed too. What an awful dialogue piece.
So maybe the movie made up with its action and horror even if the romance and characters were weak and paper thin. Nope. The best part was the beginning and only the sleepover scene because it was so shocking. Otherwise, it was full of dragged out clips from on the road with tiny bits of 'oh no we're bad people,' but her acting was bad there too and it went against the 'we don't feel like others/humans' even though they literally did. They kinda laughed, they cried kinda, they stared blankly into each others' eyes.
Tldr; I wouldn't even watch it for free.
The Great: War and Vomit (2020)
Episode 5 of Season 1
More like Catherine the pu**y and spoiled. She had good ideas, but was such a pain to watch in this episode because of her hypocrisy in regards to such an immense scale, such as the Russian War. Like do better. There were so many people you admired that were telling you all the same thing and they were right if you even tried to look at the pros and cons because you have good ideas, but your idiotic 'he's a kid' argument doesn't do anything but make you look weak because he's a villain in the making, like did you hear him??? I hated her in this one because she was spoiled, selfish, and idiotic. Hopefully she improves because I did like her, but her white privileged side was showing.
Servant (2019)
Narcissistic Dorothy
I love the show, the suspense, I know some people don't like the 'drag,' but it is turning things up and amping up the creepiness and excitement.
I only NEED Dorthy to shut up and stop being so awful. I hate her so so so much. Please don't let her live. Please. She deserves to suffer because she won't even face the truth omg. Like??? Selfish and awful.
Basutado!! Ankoku no hakaishin (2022)
As long as you know, you can enjoy
Don't think this is a spoilers since you can see it in the trailer, so I think I'm just giving a heads up.
You learn pretty quickly (episode 1 if you've got a better trained eye than me lol, but for me episode 2 really). So as long as you know that it's basically a p*rno/h*ntai but on Netflix so major ecchi lol, you can make fun of it and just relax as it is dumb in ways, but it's entertaining enough for the time to pass. Honestly, the people making this must've had a lot of fun cause he acts so dumb, but the moments he causes, while equally so, have hilarious moments.
Archive 81 (2022)
Would have probably been a 9 if LGBTQ like Original
I'll put spoiler even though it kinda really isn't since it doesn't tell you who she ends up with or whatnot, and it shouldn't have been done.
In the original (why did the writers let them do this??), Mel was a proud lesbian who had a wife and had a wife for a few years who loved her a lot. That made a few moments sweeter when referred to.
Disappointed because I did like this, but the straight-washing was unnecessary for the plot.
How I Met Your Mother (2005)
This rating is for the correct ending, not the one they tried to pull
You know which one I'm referring to hopefully.
And please, let this be a good example to writers that sometimes you should let the story be what it needs to be, not what you might want it to be.
Otherwise, I absolutely love it.
