Family Star (2024)
Ultra boring
Completely boring and unrealistic plot - apparently the female lead captures the family life of a not so financially well-to-do family without letting on them that she is a magazine reporter, and publishes his story, which annoys him and then he goes on to prove himself that can get rich. What audience does exist in the world to read such a boring magazine publishing random unsolicited stories, and even if such a magazine were to exist, would it not mask the real names, which would leave no reason for the male main character of this movie to be so annoyed by her act? Does the movie makers expect the audience to be so stupid that we can't see the story doesn't hold water, not to mention the extremely drudgingly slow pace?

When 2 psychopaths meet and work together
If you find yourself able to watch beyond the 2nd episode, please consult a psychiatrist.
The 2 protagonists whom we imagined were on a mission to save the world are revealed to be ghastly psychopaths by the end of the 2nd episode. They stupidly and accidentally overdose the target they were supposed to observe with an injection, absolutely make no effort to revive him or call 911, instead watch him die, then cut him up and throw his body in the dumpster, and then sit down eating snacks and joking with each other. This was despite explicit instructions not to cause a casualty, they in their psychopathic delirium post-murder could not even realize they had failed the mission, and instead shamelessly message their master claiming they successfully carried out the task, only to find out they failed by killing.

So much wrong in just one scene
The scene where Rajini was walking down the road at night and Yogi Babu offers to pick up him -
The music is light hearted and somewhat suggestive of comical, can't fit it in with a supposedly mourning dad's mood.
Rajini saying he was going to see 'Mallika', when asked by Yogi Babu. No tint of sadness in his voice, and for the life of me can't figure if this was a joke or just being sick in the head, going to a hooker when his son had died. As he left unsaid who Mallika was, it was clear he was insinuating she was a hooker of sorts.
Was there anything gained in particular by not showing Rajini actually killing the guy, but instead just showing him entering and then leaving the house dragging a body, and then explaining the kill to Yogi Babu how he slit the throat and killed a guy. What was the effect tried to be achieved here is beyond me, it only managed to make me feel revolted.
Yogi Babu's completely counter-intuitive reaction hearing about a murder just committed, and instead of panicking and looking for a way to dial 100, he is seen acting as an accomplice for no particular reason and letting a not-so-close and barely-know-friend carry a bleeding corpse in his car.
I switched off the crap movie here, but was further shocked hearing from someone later that Rajini's son actually had not been murdered unlike he thought. So after all he had killed an innocent person, which actually makes sense because there had not been a shred of evidence that he had been killed let alone point to a particular perpetrator, but our hero had to act and do something and waste my time watching till where I did.

Regressive
A moral person switches off this movie with around 25 min left unwatched in the end. One incurs sin by watching this movie to the end. Whenever one watches a movie and enjoys it, they are colluding and agreeing with the writer and the director's imagination and ideas. For that reason one shall not collude with the movie writer's regressive ideas by continuing to watch the movie to the end, for they incur sin.
This movie sneakily contains the regressive idea that the guy would have been justified in getting his wife raped / killed by the demon if she had in fact lived a natural sex life and had a partner before their marriage. No no no, what she did before the marriage was none of his freaking business, and he would not be justified in what he did to her regardless of what she had done in her past, or even the present for that matter.

Lost interest by the unrealistic and desperate story line
What guy gets attached to a faceless one way communications from someone who claims to be a woman who is already married to you, and takes a 2 month vacation to go in search of "her" ? A desperate one. I lost interest and closed the video. Why is this movie praised by some is beyond me. I can't imagine sitting through this unrealistic and dangerous story. I wish his penpal turned out to be a fat gay male, he would deserve that. And what danger his fellow army mates would face with a colleage this irrational and illogical mindset? I would not want to entrust my life with this guy and go to the field trusting him to watch my back, he might get romantic with some imposter set up by the enemy or something and turn us all in.
Hanna (2019)
Atleast 2 innocent persons murdered by 2 cavemen that ought have lived away from society
I'm surprised why no one mentioned this among the 1 star reviewers. I had to stop watching after the murder of 2 innocents. First is when Marissa says that Eric has swum across from Poland to Germany, there is a dead man at the scene. He could only have been a patrol police officer, not even in anyway connected to the CIA even if you were to term CIA as the villains. I would have stopped watching right there after a cop murder, but hoped that may be there would be a flashback scene coming later showing what altercation occurred there that Eric had to kill him, so I continued watching. The next shock bomb is when Hanna reveals to Eric she had known that CIA had sent a copycat of Marissa to interrogate her. Yet she murdered her with her hairpin even though she was innocent as milk of killing her mother. This is BS and I had to stop watching. This is a sick story of 2 psychopaths who ought have lived as cavemen for the rest of their lives, made for a sick audience by a sick production crew.

How is this different from Honor killing?
People should rethink about what they get entertained by. Raj Kiran character at first claims to be hate violent fights and that it should stop with his generation. But in the climax he allows the villain to fight his own son, and says he can kill his son if he is able. So whoever is more skilled (or gets lucky) in that deadly weapon usage is entitled to kill and walk away. Doesn't matter who is right or wrong, never mind the police and the civil society, all that matters is how well you can fight using that svivel weapon made for cutting coconuts, is not even a formal fighting technique, i.e. no shields or anything.

Needs a certain mindset to imagine this is a dark comedy although it isn't
If you see a murderer, you run and report him to police, not employ him.
But it is only a movie, so you are supposed to brush it off and imagine it is some sort of a dark comedy where human lives are not important and a you are supposed to accept the murderer of several people as some semblance of a positive character. I couldn't, I have morals and compassion, I gave up after a few minutes into the nonsense of the acting role play by the murderer.

Immoral, cruel, degraded filth
It is surprising how low actors can stoop to make money, acting such immoral unbelievably disgusting character as Madhavan plays in his role. No one would have thought he is capable of such moral degradation, when he debuted as a chocolate lover boy in Alaipayudhey.
This pile of horror is not worth a watch. Man goes about plotting murdering (I stopped watching before he actually got through with any) good hearted people registered as organ donors, apparently to save his son. A piece of excrement as this character selectively quotes a passage from the Holy Bhagwad Gita which is an insult to the scripture.

Excellent thriller with no plot holes
Excellent thriller with no plot holes but one big question never addressed is why Vasundhara should go after blind men to seduce and loot. It would have made more sense she was fgly but she is quite the opposite. Or they should have woven some reason why she would only target blind men.
The Chosen (2015)
Sickly immoral movie
Don't let your child watch this movie! It is a pile of sick fecal matter not even convincingly made. The plot is immoral, treating human lives like pawn-able items. It pathetically tries but fails, in its attempt to portray that any human being would accept that it is OK to kill 6 innocent blood relatives to save your one niece. An escapee from mental institution for criminal patients might agree but the lead actors don't look the part. Also the lead actor doesn't have a consistent personality portrayed in the film. He is out to save his niece and also says he can't kill children to save her but he wants his own unborn baby aborted. What a pile of poop! As others have pointed out the plot is very rigid - it would have been better if there was some positive lead character in the film who finds out about the murders and gets the killers arrested. At-least that way it would have catered to those among us who are not escapees from mental institutions. The writer and director of this movie would do a service to humanity if they don't attempt to work in the cinema field ever again.
