Stormy (2024)
Riveting and powerful
As someone who is totally uncomfortable with what Stormy does for a living and political sex scandals from Clinton to Trump, I was amazed how impressed I was with her resilience as a woman and a mother on every level. She navigated a very difficult childhood and jumped on opportunities that came her way to survive. The unsavory porn business is one thing but that is Trumps world. Trump was friends with Epstein and seducing a 27-year-old Stormy with sex in exchange for furthering her career and reneging is despicable. Her story and strength are beyond just entertaining because it's a true story. Respect and thanks to her and the people who did such a great job on this documentary.
Pelosi in the House (2022)
Politics in her blood
Remarkable story of a true patriot. Serious look at what a professional dignified public official looks like. Wake up call for those who elect posers and wannabe to do a difficult and important job at the expense of the country. The January 6th behind the scenes are especially riveting. Great historical record for those who downplay the events of that day. Great raw footage that shows her in times of victory and the attack and vandalism of her office. Hard to watch at times. Keeps us watching and praying for her strength to not let this stand unanswered. We need more like Pelosi in positions of power. Makes you appreciate what this woman is doing.
Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies (2022)
Not Convincing Even for a second
I watched the trial and was hoping to learn more but came away more convinced that she desperately needed to deflect the blame on anyone and everyone. Her supporters appeared to back her up to ease their own conscious of defending her and getting her off. No real substance to dispute the mountain of evidence pointing to her knowledge of what happened. She twists herself convince us that her "Svengali" father was responsible for the death of her daughter and focused of convicting her for the murder.
I recommend reading the actual evidence and timeline which will make a lot more sense. The tragedy is that rather than sympathy we are once again reminded of the horrible decision that was made of not convicting her and we don't see any progress where her experience has allowed her to grow or make anything positive of her life. She is stuck spinning her wheels playing the victim and pushing that narrative on anyone who will listen. Sad.
