Great concept!

Good movie. And I am not a fan of the Beatles. But this is a what if film, which I liked. Its not the greatest story ever. But its very entertaining.

Ignore the Physics
14 June 2019
This is a wonderfully edited piece of entertainment. Its not that subtle that you don't see it straight away, but it is very enjoyable.. I found this a great watch and although my brain gears said nope when they got it wrong with the construct of the narrative it is still a really good watch. The acting is pretty great on whatever budget they had. The past photos are poor but you should just ignore that. It is the narrative that's important. Do not watch if you have no attention span or are stupid, maybe like a 'flat earther', you will probably believe it happened and open a YouTube channel.... SciManDans eyes roll enough..

wrong portrait of Winston?

Warning: Spoilers
No.. Its a human side that this film invests in. He may have wanted D Day to go ahead more than described but this film doesn't denounce it like the 1/10 reviews describe. He didn't want the death, and Galipolli to occur again, or the battle it was. Seems fine to me not wanting 250,00 men to die.. great film.

Justice league movie review
10 December 2017
I saw this twice, the first time i watched it i thought it was disjointed and pretty much just a bit crap. But being a superman fan i went and watched it again, and what i saw was different somehow. i think critics reviews destroyed the first viewing and going a second time it all made more sense. yes there is a lot cut and this takes away from the plots depth, but it is a great film and i absolutely loved it, second time around. all the acting is good to excellent and the only downer is the weakness of the protagonist. cant wait for the next one.

Split (VII) (2016)

warm movie
19 February 2017
Not worth the 3.7 it currently has on IMDb. it's warm and endearing, it's pretty by the numbers and cookie, at times. But an enjoyable watch for me. Just don't think you're watching anything other than this type of movie and you'll enjoy it. I guess its low rating is down to people not being able to adapt to what type of film they are watching to what type of movie they went out to see.

Warcraft (2016)
10/10
Not perfect but good enough for me to rate it 10/10, does that even make sense?

This film was excellent. Some of the acting may seem slightly out but the time reference the film has to play to is the issue. The CGI is the best there's ever been and Ben Schnetzer, along with Toby Kebbell, stand out although everyone does a stand up job. The story has some gaps from a watchers perception that isn't already engrossed with the lore, but the movie flows really well. Duncan Jones does a great job with, what i consider, his first big project. I loved Source code but i can see its faults, i am a huge 'Groundhog Day' type movie fan though. I am yet to see Moon. Overall though i will give this a huge rating due to the technical difficulty in bringing this to a cinematic format. Its brilliantly done. There's the possibility that you wont get the movie at all, i know, if you are not as invested in it, which i am as a player. But i think you should be able to get over these things if you have never been a WoW or Warcraft player, so long as you watch it with the attitude of wanting to be engrossed. Dive in, let it wash over you, and enjoy the experience.

The Tourist (I) (2010)
decent little romp if not a little bloody obvious! :D
5 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Worked this one out after 25 minutes, but liked the idea so it didn't matter at all and still sat through the rest of it so it cant be as bad as some people are saying it is and in fact it definitely isn't. basically Bad guys wife has to help make people think he's dead or out of the picture in some way as to throw off the police, quickly it is noted that also there's a gangster of some kind who's had money stolen from him by Mr Bad guy. a plan's plotted to get someone who looks like him and get her to get the police to think it's this way so Mr and Mrs Bad guy can raise Bad guy children somewhere or something. Anyway, she gets on a train and decides on Johnny Depp. An almost romance ensues whilst a few bullets fly and there's the standard car chase, no wait, boat chase ( set in Venice ). some say there's no chemistry but for me I thought it was all good and a decent flick.

decent enough movie, the reviews here are wrong
7 July 2010
As an adult and fan of the original cartoon series i was delighted when they announced this was going to be made in to a movie. from the first episode i knew this had the chance to be translated to film in an epic way. whilst ill say the movie isn't perhaps as epic as it so easily could have been it was still a good film. the scenery and special effects were excellent. its true to say the script was a little poor or maybe poorly presented with many dialogue scenes being wooden however these are young actors and its not as bad as the first harry potter movie.. all in all i think too many people are being unfairly harsh. i think it was passed well and could follow it easily. i hope the reviews don't prevent a number of sequels, preferably with someone else writing the script.

A really good film
16 January 2010
Warning: Spoilers
A bloody good film, pardon the pun. I bought this on the strength of a few reviews and wasn't disappointed having added it to my Blu-ray collection. Oscar gets bullied at school but finds friendship in Eli who lives with, i suspect, another young boy she befriended 45 years ago. The movie throws up some wonderful extra-movie plot stuff, well at least for me. It doesn't rely on gore for entertainment and, as with all decent movies, it doesn't need it. I like the direction in this movie particularly, the camera shots set the mood perfectly in every scene. A film about friendship, innocence and love. Well possibly, it could easily also be about manipulation, survival and resentment towards ones self. It depends if you take Eli's or Oscar's view in my opinion. brilliant stuff.
