EASILY one of the best films of all time!
24 October 2003
Warning: Spoilers
I've seen lots of movies, but none seem to outmatch this masterpiece: The Untouchables! Now, I am no fan of Kevin Costner... nor do I know who directed this film, but what matters is, that this film is terrific! Based (rather loosely) on a true story, this film seemed to have everything! The music was beautiful and appropriate, the plot had no obvious holes, the acting was perfect, and by the way, to that person that stated Kevin Costner displayed no emotion, what movie did you see??? Too many people seemed concerned about Al Capone's character displayed as a "brat," becuase he did not show his real-life evil, that is very inaccurate to say becuase, well, he killed that guy with a baseball bat for no apparent reason, he smiled and laughed when he was told that **************SPOILERS*********** Ness's friend, Malone, was murdered gruesomely with a tummi gun! END OF SPOILERS!********

What more could you want? Malone's character, by the way, was outstanding and he deserved that Academy Award!

I have no idea how people could not like this movie if they listen and know what the heck is going on! What is wrong with you people these days? You enjoy awful comedies like "Old School" or the worst of them all, "the Royal Tennanbombs."

Not as bad as I expected
12 October 2003
Okay, before I saw this film my mind was filled with awful comments about how bad this film is. When I finally obtained my copy (a true kaiju collector would buy all monster films, whether they are good or bad), I expected a cheap, 90-minute stock-footage crap-fest. Instead, I found a rather enjoyable film, it was just great to see all of Gamera's foes in one movie. Sure the "superhero effects" are all crappy, but the stock footage was blended in with the movie quite well. Yes, there were some embarassing parts though, for example, when the stock footage is night and the new footage takes place day time, the film simply mixes both parts of the day and night into one scene!!!!!!! I kinda liked the superhero story, and honestly, with a very low budget, this film was fairly well made!! come on people! What more could we want besides giant monsters kicking eachother's tails and some hot superhero chicks mixed in with terrible kid acting? I have no idea!

Is the 26th Godzilla film TRULY any good? Hell yeah!
14 August 2003
This film had everything a Godzilla film needs: a bunch destruction, Godzilla fighting another monster with incredible results, and of course, a little camp! The special effects in this film are unbelievable, they are just getting better and better... basically equal to America! There are so many highlights in this film I can't think of all them; the scene with Mechagodzilla falling under the moonlight was fantastic, and as MG is falling, the energy sockets on its back burst flames, resulting in the greatest flying kaiju scene since Gamera 3! Some of you may be thinking "well the special effects are good, but that is not the most important thing in a film." Well, this film had quite a bit of drama which surprisingly was touching, and it all mixed in a Godzilla film very well... connecting the theme all together!! The music and acting was excellent, as simple as that.. The fight scenes between godzilla and Mechagodzilla were great, often having grappling and punching instead of constant beam battles like in the Hesei series. Godzilla's 26th film is one of the greatest G-films of all, almost beating Godzilla, mothra, and King Ghidorah!! Director Mr. Tezuka is directing a sequel to this film, which features two mothra larvae, one Mothra adult, Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, and the giant turtle Kameba, all in an all-out war! It will be great, and will probably top Shusuke Kaneko's Gamera series as long as Mr. Tezuka uses his creative talent of directing, creative camera angles, and spectacular Specail FX!!

Awesome! One of the best Godzilla movies!
2 March 2003
Warning: Spoilers
First off, in order to enjoy this film you need to be prepared; delete the entire history of Godzilla besides his original attack in 1954. I'll review each of the following topics: Plot, Monsters, Special Effects, and Acting

PLOT Almost 50 years after Godzilla's first attack in Tokyo, strange events begin in a forest. Later, citizens discover an old man who claims that Godzilla has been revived by the veangent souls of the dead from world War 2 and will destroy its destination: Tokyo. He also says he will be reviving three Sacred Guardians of Japan. Soon, sightings of the creatures begin first introducing Baragon, who searches across the Japanese nature in search of Godzilla. Godzilla then appears and attacks a city near Tokyo. The army notices Godzilla and Baragon are heading straight for eachother and an awesome battle begins. SPOILERS, Godzilla then terminates Baragon by blasting his ray of atomic heat. Concurrently, Mothra larvae spins a cocoon which release its adult form. Mothra heads for Tokyo where Godzilla is located and a battle begins. King ghidorah arrives and is almost killed by Godzilla but luckily, Mothra's Sacred Revilization Dust from where she was killed spreads and revives King Ghidorah. SEE THE MOVIE TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

MONSTERS Godzilla - the big guy has a great and evil look. The most nifty feature is blank, evil eyes. The monster seems a bit large for the actor but godzilla does some smooth fighting moves. Baragon - better than the original, awesome roar, great burrowing, and huge leaps! The only thing you may not like is the chubby cheeks on the monster but that is minor. Mothra - Mostly computerized, the CGI pulls off very well!

King Ghidorah - the three headed monster has a more dragon look, it can swim, and has the greatest lighting shocks ever! It just has too short heads in my opinion.

SPECIAL EFFECTS Not quite as good as Gamera 3, but they are still dynamic and spectacular. (Godzilla atomic heat ray is totally sweet)

ACTING Excellent! The movie has very interesting characters that you will care about and hope won't die. The acting is better than Gamera 3, period.

Another title for my collection of B-movies!
4 November 2002
If you share an odd and rare hobby like me- collecting B-movies, this is a movie to own. As one of my 100 B-movies, this is quite entertaining. Of course, I find this movie entertaining because it is bad and low-budget, Toho has done a great job once again! It is available on VHS and a great B-movie to add to your collection of giant monster films of Japan and America, PURCHASE! "So bad its good." AKA, "Best of the Worst."

Search for the Mothman (2002 TV Movie)
Pretty Good
8 June 2002
This documentary on the Mothman, a terrifying creature with glowing red eyes. It is made on the story of a great movie The Mothman Prophecies. Of course, these events are true (or I believe and they say) I'm glad they finally made a documentary on this interesting story... same type of loch ness monster, bigfoot speculation) Good story if you are interested in this creature.

The Simpsons (1989– )
Hilarious! Best Show!
7 June 2002
I can not really say much on how I constantly watch this show by re-runs, they always seem to still be funny. My favorite episodes are the Monorail, the loch ness monster one, and the radioactive man episode. Really, I enjoy all of them and almost every episode contains a guest star. Sam Niell- cat burgalor, Helen Hunt- Renee, and of course, they appear as themselves Stephen Hawking, Leonard Nemoy, Mel Gibson etc. 10/10 EASILY Hilarious!!!!!!!!!

Freaky and Strange= 9/10
3 June 2002
I really enjoyed this movie from beginning to end, probably because I have been studying the Mothman creature since I was 9, ( I am 13 now). I read the book by John A. Keel, too. However, this states Based On True Events, really, the movie was INSPIRED by true events... it was 40% not based on book. about the freaky parts, I was not actually shivering scared, they freaked me out on quick flashes of Mothman, etc. Very good action ending! I saw it in theaters, going to rent it, then buy it. My point is, it is worth a look!
