Let it Hurt You the Sweet Way

This was bloody fantastic. Beautiful. Not overdone, just perfect, with its simplicities, complexities, nuances, tremors and silences. Why 6? I really don't understand it. I cannot imagine anyone voting for lesser than 7 for this one at least. Strong leads, poignant, perfect emotions, and a fulfilling ending. Overwhelms, in a happy, warm way that nudges you, but doesn't push you over. Control and release, repeat.

This is a rant that is from the obvious movie rush that I am suffering from. I probably won't stop.

Nevermind. I will make my point here, once again-please do watch it. It hurts in a sweet, sweet way. Yes.

Lantana (2001)

Bravo!

This is such a gem, that it pains. Everything right where they should be, beautifully perfectly executed. Fantastically portrayed with vigorous honesty. And the timing ? Bang on! Utterly beautiful and I am going quite frothy at my mouth now.For anybody with taste, this is un-miss-able. This is exactly how film-making should be where ideas merge seamlessly to create a masterpiece which can touch hearts. Apart from it's obvious brilliance, this movie has such a soul. This is so soulful. All the dots connect in the end and it is staggering. Kudos to everybody even remotely associated with the movie for having done us the honours. Watch it. Very highly recommended.

Numbing.

This left me so utterly heartbroken. Yet I could not help but marvel at the ingenuity of such a production. One of the finest, yet I loathed it for it is. It escapes the realms of a movie and haunts you till you grit your teeth. There are no respites, no saving graces. Just fistful of mayhem pushed down your throat. It's ugliness tearing at the seams, yet the darkness of it draws you in. And you spiral down, shamelessly. Black Hole Sun.

It's a bad bad world out there and you don't want to be a part of it. You can only, survive in it's transient bliss. Is truth beautiful ? We don't need to ask that question anymore.
