The Last Ship: Scuttle (2016)
Seeing facts
He did not do "silly things".
Obviously their position was clear for the enemy. There must have been some betrayal.
The other captain did not show any "due respect". He did not understand the position of the "CNO" (= "chief of naval operations").
For (at least) some fifty years in the USA (more than seventy years in Germany) "just obeying orders" is no longer an excuse.
Chandler had to to do the right thing and stand for it.
A Change of Seasons (1980)
An underestimated movie
I loved this film when I saw it on the big screen as a teenager, and I loved it even more when I saw it again yesterday. We watch characters developing in a crucial situation - some of them more, some of them less. And at the end of the day we are surprised who does (more) and who doesn't (or does less). What else can we hope for when going to the movies - except the assets of Miss Derek?
