Sunny (2022)
Modern take on conventional wisdom called LIFE!
Sunny Set the tone from the beginning. Within the first 10-15 minutes. You are already a character in the story. Lalit Prabhakar and Chinmay Mandlekar's flawless acting makes the characters relatable. The trailer may give the impression that the storyline of the film is somewhat conventional (which it is!) but the journey it takes you on is really enjoyable and relatable.
The most beautiful aspect of this film is its subtle reinterpretation of traditional wisdom through the eyes of millennials. This is the story of the emotional struggles that the "abundance lifestyle" generation faces with their loved ones and families. Another daring aspect of the story is the inclusion of many matured themed topics in the Marathi genre.
Even though the film's length feels a little long, the constantly evolving storyline keeps you interested. The effort to show what maturity truly means in today's materialistic world has been beautifully captured. The viewer is left with a lasting impression due to the refined screenplay and overall subtlety. A must-see film for both family and Millennial audiences alike to discover a new meaning of LIFE!
