A Man in Full (2024– )

The End WTF

Not sure what this show is it's like a setup for the ending which is just dumb.

Everyone is good in this show the writing is ok directing ok the plot starts out interesting and it builds up and the climax is an anticlimax it's odd way to end the show thought .

The struggles of the rich and the not so rich and the people in between .

Racism and corruption and power and greed and jealousy and weak men and strong men .

The women they love and leave and the relationships they have now .

Robotic knees and loss of control getting old but wanting to remain strong and powerful .

How could any of this end well ? It doesn't ,

Godzilla Minus One (2023)

Classic

This will be the new bench mark , similar to what Nolan did with Batman .

So you have these rich visuals mixed with a great story and the monster effects are great .

I imagine a massive beast like Godzilla with respect to gravity would walk in such a manner slow and heavy .

The myth is more alive now after seeing this movie with its ww2 back drop and the nuclear bombs used on Japan .

This is truly a masterpiece for the Japanese monster film industry .

Great movie I advise grabbing some pop corn and enjoy this visual feast .

Can hardly wait to see what they come up with next the franchise Definately is reborn after this classic .

Love Lies Bleeding (2024)

Criminally Deranged Junkies that are gay

Movies dumb , it's about lesbians killing people for emotional reason's .

I believe the ending will disappoint . The actings good I go just didn't care about the characters at all .

I felt disgusted in their behaviour and didn't understand the illogical love story.

Natural Born lesbians? I think if they developed the characters better and had more of a back story we could atleast be invited into the story .

I felt outside and confused , best part of the movie as the love making scenes . Always nice to see lesbian sex in movies . It is exciting and awesome

I hate the minimum characters in the reviews because I tend to have nothing to say after a line or 3.

Why is SLJ in this?

Having SLJ in this movie was a waste of a talent , they failed to make it interesting . Vincent Cassel just basically walking around while Jackson is in scenes .

This movie is dumb and the writing is bad directing equally as bad , this is like a bad b movie you see in tv on Saturday afternoons .

Not suspenseful at all I was very annoyed watching this film . The buildup is just slow and awkward the car chase at the end has death metal soundtrack it's so bad . The editing is ridiculous. The story seems like it was written by someone in high school . I think anyone who pays to see this should get a refund .

Road House (2024)

Better than the Original

The Original was a not a very good film . It was just ok . What this film does better is the backstory of the lead and the fight scenes .The backstory helps . . Connor Macgregor is quite the character and the fight scenes are well done .

It's not a great film but I would say not to compare it to the original because this stands on its own .

Watch it and forget the original ,

Good acting great fight scenes some cheesy special effects but over all good entertaining movie .

Watch it don't think of the original and you will be entertained after all that's what movies are for .

Popcorn and pop and watch it.

Shōgun (2024–2026)

Riviting

I cannot find a flaw with acting , direction , nor writing .

Such a fantastic show , special effects top notch feel like your in old time Japan and the customers and sets awesome.

This is possibly the next big tv show , after GoT .

I look forward to Monday nights when the new episode airs .

Really makes for a great evening ,

The actors are just brilliantly cast , Blackthorn better than say Tom Hardy ( whom I bet they tried to get ) .

Just finished episode 5 can hardly wait until next week .

Do yourself a favour and watch this , this will go down as one of the great tv shows of all time .

Dune: Part Two (2024)

Technically Perfect

The special effects perfect . The problem I had was continuity . A couple of times in the movie it jumped it's like wait how did we get here , better editing I suppose . Regardless what makes this much better that the first is the way the time was well used to move the story along with sensible dialog .

I was reminded of David Lean Lawrence of Arabia but in Space .

The thumping of the sand ,the water analogies , the large sand worms have sexual connotations . It's about life , finding a way to survive . Where the individual is just a method to keep life moving forward .

An epic cosmic metaphor for existence , and the fight for survival .

In the end jumping back in the worm moves life all forward through time .

Red Right Hand (2024)

Violent

Very violent and gritty like used grease from under a 1970's lawn tractor that was used to run over ground hogs.

Acting is really good and Bloom did a great job playing a tuff red neck .

My problem was with it the violence was over the top a bit and the story was superseded by this.

I feel less violence and concentrate on the story and directing of the story .

I think I will watch again to give it a second chance maybe I messed something .( hard not too with all the violence ).

Shout at the Devil (1976)

Classic

I liked Shout at the Devil" it is a big, dumb, sill y movie that's impossible to dislike. It's so cheerfully corny, so willing to involve its heroes in every possible predicament, that after awhile we relax: This is the kind of movie they used to make, back when audiences were supposed to have the mentality of a 12-year-old. It's great to be 12 again. The movie involves the exploits of an Irish-American drunk and a proper Britisher who find themselves in German East Africa just before World War I. The boozer (Lee Marvin) has promised to bring a load of ivory out of the interior. He needs help to get it past the German occupying forces, led by a comic Teuton named Fleischer. So he arranges that the Englishman (played by Roger Moore,) will have his money and passport stolen. Since Moore has to stay in Africa, Marvin suggests, why don't they team up?

Eileen (2023)

Falls Flat

Eileen is not worth watching for the positive attributes because it exemplifies why "story" matters. Oldroyd's film has no third act, which is also a problem with the source of this adaptation. The movie takes a vicious twist. That turn primarily concerns the great Marin Ireland's (Hell or High Water) character and her son, incarcerated for murder, who is also under Hathaway's Rebecca's care.

While what transpires can be fascinating, especially when McKenzie's Eileen evolves into taking over the more dominant role, the film fails because there's no third act. This is not an argument that Eileen needs a nice little bow to wrap up her story. Far from it. The issue is that there's no closure, character redemption, or accountability.

Eileen's story, frankly, stops and falls off the metaphorical storytelling cliff. Yes, Hathaway is electric. We know McKenzie can say more with a stoic glance than most can say with a monologue. Whigham plays caustic roles like no other actor of this time in cinema .

Saltburn (2023)

Class Struggle Hidious and Vile .

Disgusting and banal . It insists upon itself too much .

Acting is fine , cinemotography great.

Bottom line it's about a Psychopath. A sexual deviant takes advantage of a upper class families naivety . Cruel twuested sex games and murder leads to the family dieing off all off leaving a widow to be married to and become heir to the estate.

It's about nievity, class , mental illness , ruthlessness . The sex scenes are nonsense and really are there for shock value.

Had high hopes for this film greatly disappointed. I imagine this will be panned at awards times because it's like high art slasher film with out a kitchen knife .

In the Land of Saints and Sinners (2023)

Liam Neeson at his best

Oscar Wilde once said the only difference between saints and sinners is that saints have a past and sinners have a future. It's a great title for a Liam Neeson lone-gunman Western set in a village in Ireland's northwest county of Donegal in 1974; a place where sinners are thick on the ground. Take Finbar (Neeson), for example, who has been working as an assassin-for-hire for a local 'bone-man' (played by Colm Meaney) since 'the end of the war'. That would be 30 years, and he doesn't know why he does it, how he started or even who he is doing it for. Jack Gleeson is cast as a second hitman working out of the same one-horse-town: while things weren't quite right in Ireland in the 1970s, they weren't quite that wrong either. The land has saints and sinners and a way out.

Napoleon (2023)

Nice looking epic but lacks dialog

Ridley Scott's big-budget war epic "Napoleon" is a series of accomplished battle sequences looking for a better movie to connect them. Once again, Scott's craftsmanship is on full display here, but it's in service of a deeply shallow screenplay, one that hits major events in the life of its subject with too little passion or purpose, too rarely tying one to another with any sort of momentum. A phenomenal actor is reduced to a ghostly presence in the middle of the movie, and his partner, the character who needs to give the film a beating heart, comes off as two-dimensional and hollow. Again, "Napoleon" works when things go boom in undeniably impressive ways. It's the other stuff that loses the war.

Manodrome (2023)

John Trengrove's "Manodrome" is an incel-era update of "Fight Club," a story of an average guy whose inner demons are unleashed when he meets a group of men trying to reclaim their perceived place in the world. "Manodrome" weaves modern themes like the emergence of toxic incels across the internet into a tale of a loner who becomes emboldened by the wrong people, echoing "Taxi Driver" as much as the Chuck Palahniuk classic but failing to tie any of its hot-button issues into a coherent statement or character study. It's a hollow provocation with about as much to say about the human condition as an internet troll who learned a few buzzwords this morning and wants to spew them at somebody to feel superior. The cast gives their all, but the film ultimately has nothing to offer.

The Scale Of a Bond Film For This Reality Show

Really enjoyed the document track and Brian Cox and the trivia and the action and the contests .

A epic reality spanning the globe . Following in Bonds footsteps location wise and technology wise . Some gadgets , alligators, snakes , spiders , cliff scaling , rope climbing .

Lots of trivia questions but to get the answer correct leads to more tests of courage and or strength agility .

I would recommend this show it can only get better . I feel the producers will see any mistake and or area to improve upon.

Epic show with epic payouts . People need to watch this if they like reality shows like the amazing race and or survivor.

The Fall of the House of Usher (2023)

It's not scary it's a mystery that takes too many episodes to spin the web of integrated Edgar Allen Poe stories and poems into a retelling of the House Of Usher . Good idea but in the end it's long and a bit boring , Bruce Greenwood is fantastic as usual a great actor , the rest of the cast also good . I just found the plot to convoluted and contrived to fit in the stories of Edgar Allen Poe. Tale Tale Heart , The Cask of Amontillado, the Black Cat ,the Gold bug. The Masque of The red death , so in and so forth ...

Great idea but I found it too slow to binge I suppose it would be better as a non binge series .

Love the nod to the Saclker family and Purdue Pharma and the opioid deaths they caused globally .

The real evil.

No One Will Save You (2023)

Aliens and Horror

These Aliens are not nice . Living alone out in the country these aliens play a cat and mouse game with a young woman who does her best to avoid being abducted.

The special affect's are pretty good the suspense is constant .

It's like Halloween meets E. T meets close encounters .

I think it's a pretty scary and fairly original movie .

Not sure why it's got sucks a low score.

With all the stuff going in with aliens and ufos ( uaps using official government acronym's) in the news this movie might just be a bit more based on reality that we may imagine.

I say give it a watch grab some pop corn because it's a great Friday,Saturday night flick .

Barbie (I) (2023)

Unfortunately this story is so bad the acting and sets can't save it .

It is pretty to look at like a Barbie , but lacks a story that is worth the effort .

I think small girls will like it but other than that it's a stupid movie idea that comes across as an advertisement for a toy company .

Not sure you will want to spend your money on this wait for it to stream .

Kids fell asleep after the first 30 minutes .

Not sure who the audience is .

The story is so bad it's like it was hobbled together by a bunch of tweens brainstorming .

I think this could be the worst movie of the decade .

There are much better kids movies out there.

Oppenheimer (I) (2023)

This movie is a masterpiece , I could not find a flaw with it .

The acting of this movie was the star , the story , cinematography and direction co star .

What can you say about such a serious subject and defining moment in human history . Well Nolan and the cast delivered a fantastic representation of this time .

I recommend this movie it is a grand scale cinematic experience .

Cillian will get Oscar , Matt Damon , Robert Downy JR. All deserve Oscar's .

Every part played to perfection the supporting cast was just brilliant .

The sets just perfect .

This is movie making as it should be .

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

This mission...it just got a hell of a lot more impossible-r. Great action great script great story big star .This is the best one yet .This is the best summer movie so far.

The action sequences are top notch , right from the start before the opening credits we are immersed in action and when the IMFs titular Ethan Hunt enters the scene it's action on .

The story is very good and the acting is great.

Tom And team have made a great movie destined to b a classic .

I can hardly wait for part 2 , hope it's out sooner than later .

If you see one film this summer see this movie we saw it at the IMAX and it's big just like the screen .

Does a good job with searching and presenting the information . I recommend this to anyone who likes conspiracies and the unusual and unexplained .

Watching episode in crop circles and cia .

The humour is ok with the heckle fish with a tin foil hat on top of its fish bowel . ( heckle fish is hosts pet gold fish ) .

I think everyone should give this show a watch it is right up there with many of the top shows on a&e or history channel .

I watch this and can am missing project on YouTube and many other shows .

The fact this is on YouTube is great since I gave up cab years ago .

Go ahead give it a watch .

Sisu (2022)

Kill Them All

This movie is gritty extremely violent and it delivers the goods.

Revenge is bets served in Finland . Sisu a word that can not be translated but I think it is well translated in this movie.

Haven't seen an action revenge film this well made in years .

Sometimes it's best to leave a man alone . If at first you don't succeed time to run.

This ww2 flick has some mean nazis and a very tough Finlander .

The action and effects are top notch the acting and violence very believable the story starts off and tank rolls its way to an epic conclusion .

I say grab the pop corn and a cold drink and hunker down for some hard core action . Not for kids !

Ten Pound Poms (2023– )

Enjoyed this Show

Good show well acted story was good . I think people may find it interesting especially if they had parents from Britain that immigrated after ww2 . No jobs in Britain after ww2 many people immigrated to Australia the advertisements made it seem like a dream . But not so much the reality .

Poverty and discrimination face the the new arrivals . The brochure didn't say they be faced with the harsh realities .

In the end it's about community and making friends and talking everyone wants to work and have job and get along .

I would recommend this to anyone who likes good writing , interesting characters , and Australia .

Great Expectations (2023)

Never Read the Book this seems odd

I have not read the book , so the story is about sexual exploitation of young children by a crazy old lady who is bitter about her tragic experience being left at the alter as a young bride. She manipulates 2 young people into doing her bidding.

Coleman's performance seems off . I mean the character is off but it seems not fitting with the rest of the story .

The ward , Estella , of Coleman's Miss Havisham character is a sad , proud, angry and a bit twisted .

Opioids seem to be the point of this show , dealing selling and abuse of .

So I guess in Dickens times prostitution was at times handled like a business proposition where the local pimp was a fine outstanding member we of the church?

This is a weird show .

Godfather of Harlem (2019– )

Wow what a great show

I loved this watched every episode from day one .

Forest Whitaker is brilliant as Bumpy Johnson and just wait to you see the Malcolm X performance . Man this was the real deal . Historically very fictional , but the Malcolm X story in this was brilliant .

I think it is exceptional tv drama in that it really brings you in to this character driven crime drama.

Violence in Harlem in the 60's , race riots , police brutality , drugs , and gangs all the back drop for Malcolm x who is really the Center piece of this show.

Within Malcom X's orbit existed , some bad people and some angels .. A great performance .
