Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (2013)
Ridiculously Likeable.
I hope people know how much they are missing out by not watching this show... I am fully aware of the green screen issues and honestly it's pretty obvious the lack of budget they had for this. But hey, they did the best with what they had. Truly what shines in this extraordinarily enjoyable show is the relationship and chemistry between Alice and Cyrus. This show came out a decade ago and I am still OBSESSED. Know that I am completely serious in saying that I still check to see if someone is going to realize that it is an absolute tragedy that we weren't given a second season and go about fixing their mistake. Someone please put me out of my misery and just make more of this delightful show. Thank you.
You, Me and the Apocalypse (2015)
Ridiculously Good
Why in the ever loving world is every good show canceled?? This one stings particularly much because I HAVE QUESTIONS. Please end my misery and just tell me who is in the box?!?!? A delightful cast that brings together quite the tangled web of insane shenanigans and a story that is compelling and full of humanity. Truly heartfelt while very comedic and trying to answer the question of what would you do if the world was ending? Mathew Baynton's acting shines with possibly my favorite sidekick of Joel Fry. But really I mean it, if someone from the writing team could reach out to me with some answers to the several questions you left me with, I would greatly appreciate it. Also, I like Rob Lowe's face.
Human Target (2010)
Abso-freakin-lutely FANTASTIC.
Honestly, I don't know how this show could have been any better, and I would know because I have rewatched this entire series several times with my father. We are profoundly perplexed each time we watch that such a show would be canceled well before it's time. The camaraderie. The dialogue. The action. The humor. The heart!! It's been years since we have lost such a treasure and yet I would gladly welcome more. We especially appreciate the character of Guerrero and his comedic ability to be so nonchalantly threatening. Chance and Winston will forever be my favorite duo and the added ladies in the second season really enhanced the enjoyment of this already great show. Thank you.
How I Met Your Father (2022)
Solidly Enjoyable
Moderate your expectations people! From this show I expect: to be entertained, to laugh and to enjoy some shenanigans along the way. And that's exactly what this show delivers! And frankly it's a pretty honest depiction of life in your 30's. Dating is miserable and life is just figuring out how to pay rent and maybe going out to brunch when you can. Spot on! And having a great group of friends to support you can make it all worthwhile. Very likeable cast and some solidly funny jokes, literally what more could I ask for? The only thing I ask is that the show ends better than the awful last season of How I Met your Mother... because that was straight up garbage.
Mayans M.C.: I Hear the Train A-Comin (2023)
Here for the Broken Saints!!!
Big fan of the bad a** ladies that make up the broken saints! Sister Anne is a straight up boss and deserves her own show!!! Let Mayans rest in peace and give these girls their own show. So much of shows these days are trying to over compensate for a lack of diversity to a point where it feels forced, but this isn't that!! The ladies are taking care of business in a good way and I'm hooked! Looking forward to the rest of the season, hopefully highlighting the boss a** b*t%hes of the Broken Saints. See what women can do with awesome fight scenes and solid writing - greatest hit since the Spice Girls.
Rennervations (2023)
Genuine Kindness and Compelling Vehicle Design
This show is an absolutely delightful. Anyone who says otherwise is probably a small minded loser who doesn't know what it means to sacrifice or provide something better for those in need. The process of re-imagining of these vehicles is very compelling to watch and the profound passion that Jeremy Renner clearly has for helping those in need is humbling. The team that Jeremy has brought together is incredible in their hard work and desire to make a new vehicle to serve the community. I am thankful that there are people like Jeremy Renner in this world who care about more than just himself, truly inspiring.
