She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Please renew!!!
Be forewarned, I am going to gush! I *love* She Hulk! She is fun, vulnerable, quirky, smart, brave, self depreciating and stronger than she thinks.
In response to the above reviewer; Why is it, when a man vents about all the garbage he has to deal with, he is praised for sharing his feelings, but when a woman does the same, she's a "man hater"? When a male defends himself and others from violent enemies, he's a hero, but a woman who does the same, is a "b***-busting" misandrist?
I bet you're the same snowflake that complains that the portrayal of racism is just to manipulate whites into feel guilty.
Dude, all the BS that the heroine mentioned in the show is real. And if that hurts your fragile little male ego, that's unfortunate. But pretending that it does not exist, does not change reality. And I am speaking as a loving, loyal and supportive wife, mother and grandmother who is fortunate to have men in her life who are stronger and less deluded (and less whiny) than you.
All that aside, if you are looking for fast paced, light hearted fun with a great cast and original, off beat humor, She Hulk is a blast!
Radioflash (2019)
Good cast, concept and potential, poorly executed
Fine acting, fine cast, very nice cinematography, etc.
Unfortunately, the plot seemed vague and underdeveloped. I feel that if the writer had waited and brought more clarity and thought into the plot and put more work into the details, it could have been a much better film.
In the end, good cast, concept and potential, poorly executed. Sorry, but while I can recommend it based on the acting, the writing seemed a little lazy.
The Kids Are Alright: Timmy's Poem (2018)
Can some one answer this question please?
First, I like the show just fine, but I *swear* that the actor playing the oldest son in the pilot, the one who left the seminary. is played by a different actor in the second episode. Am I crazy or is that the case? That would be unfortunate as (while the young man in the second episode is very good) I liked the first actor better.
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016)
Great date movie for grownups !
I *loved* this movie *almost* as much as I loved the first one : ) Sweet, sentimental, and endearing, with plenty of warm, good natured, (sometimes a little naughty, but not mean) humor. Personally, I found the fact that it doesn't try to be cool or hip or clever refreshing. Just fun without being cloying or sanctimonious. I also enjoyed seeing all the original cast members, especially Andrea Martin who will always be a true gem among comedic actresses. Great "date" movie for my husband and I as, old married couple that we are, we could really relate to the costars as I think many couples will. Including long time married couples who can get so caught up in day to day life, that they can forget what brought them together in the first place. And you know what? In a world as cynical and mean spirited as ours can sometimes be, sweet and sentimental can be just what you need : )
Shooting Livien (2005)
Well worth owning !
I just got "Shooting Livian" in the mail, & it was every bit as good, if not better than, I expected. While everyone did a truly professional job, I have to credit Dominic Monaghan for the most colorful, believable performance, though I am bias ; ) I don't know, you just got the feeling he wasn't even acting, he was just being his usual self. He seemed easy and natural. I can really see him as Owen in another life. Loved the Lennon accents. It was little touches like that, the glasses, and the "Peace Bed", that helped make the show for me. The father was sympathetic, I liked the drummer, girlfriend, etc. Lovely soundtrack.
The only fly in the ointment was Ally Sheedy, which surprised me as she is such an experienced actress. I just felt she was "phoning in" her performance. I think she could have made more of an effort.
Regardless, good ending. Hopeful, realistic, satisfying, without being saccharine.
Over all, I greatly enjoyed it, give it a thumbs up, & am so glad I own it on DVD : )
Peace, Juli

Demon Under Glass (2002)
Great low budget movie
Demon Under Glass is proof that you don't need megabucks or fantastic special effects to produce a great cult classic. Just creativity, talent & ingenuity. Having two cute stars doesn't hurt, either ; ) I already liked vampire movies, & thought that I had seen just about every plot line and variation there was. But this film actually managed to come up with a new spin. I only hope there's part Demon Under Glass # 2. Kudos!!
