My Adventures with Superman (2023)
Most accurate animated superman
Some may not Like this version of superman however this show most accurately captures the spirit of superman from the comics. We all heard of superman being called a boy scout however this isn't depicted better than on My Adventures With Superman, outside of the comics. Clark is far away from the stern stoic depictions we're used to from past shows, which I extremely enjoy since I always felt past shows never accurately displayed Superman. This show seems like it belongs on 4kids than on adult swim (due to superman's more accurate lighthearted imaginging), the writing is a little fast paced however there is an overarching story that gets added to almost every episode so far. I would describe this show as a mix of 2006 legion of superheroes & new 52. That being said the essence of this show is completely different than any & all DCAU shows or movies, I would go as far as saying this is not a DCAU show at all, it's specifically a Superman show. The character design & animation style is charming although not the best (typical of western iterations of japanese anime style). The show is better for a younger audience without actually targeting the younger demographic, however it's good enough for superman fans of all ages.
Royal Crackers (2023)
INSTANT CLASSIC
If I had to describe Royal Crackers I would say it's a surreal, zany, wacky slice of life with slight occult tones. It's a mix of The Office American Dad & Mr Pickle with the maturity of Futurama.. The negative reviews don't match the show at all..this is clearly a well thought out planned ahead written show..the comedy in this show is very mature & smart. It's more situational & dialogue based than other animations. There's a comedy central animation that came out same time as this one & Royal crackers makes that one seem childish & like cheap low hanging fruit (i very much enjoy that show as well, Royal crackers is just written that much better), there are zero cheap laughs. The natural dialogue situations & writing is so hilarious that this show doesn't rely on actual jokes & one liners.. all the characters are amazing & written realistically the voice actors are perfect for their characters. The English voice actress that plays Naruto plays the son & i enjoy hearing her very much. If you love realistic characters in a very realistic family with struggling heartwarming can't catch a break characters that can make you laugh with their words & situations in a world that sometimes shows you theres a lot of blood violence murder & the supernatural this is for you.
