Killers of the Flower Moon (2023)
One of the greatest movies in years.
As the title says, I believe this is one of the best movies we have seen in many years. To start out, the acting is just incredible with DiCaprio, Gladstone and De Niro all at the top of their game. I was very hyped for this movie and I wasn't not disappointed. Despite the 3hr 20m runtime, this movie goes by in an instant. You could watch it 3 times and it would only feel like you'd watched the original runtime. The score, the acting, the story, the cinematography, the writing, the directing, it's all absolutely masterful and incredible. I would one hundred percent recommend this movie to anyone.
Better Call Saul (2015)
The Second Greatest TV Show in History
Better Call Saul. The only show that I have ever seen that challenges Breaking Bad. The Emmy Winning Show Breaking Bad was and still is the greatest show of all time, even 15 years later. Better Call Saul is a prequel to the masterpiece we love today but not many have given Better Call Saul a chance. Even though it's all about one of the fan favourites from the original. Maybe it's because the first season or two are really legal dramas. But if you give it a chance and get to season 3/4 it picks itself up... massively. The acting all around the board is arguably better than Breaking Bad, same with the cinematography and dialogue. Just like Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, Bob Odenkrik and Rhea Seehorn give the performances of a lifetime in this incredible show. 30/10.
Breaking Bad (2008)
What you are looking at is the greatest television show in the history of the world
Breaking Bad. Where do I start with this masterpiece? This action-packed, beautifully written, incredibly shot, work of art known as Breaking Bad is the most beautiful, most incredible, most excellent show someone could ever hope to watch. It's expert written creates unbelievable tension that will grip you. This is a tale of love, betrayal and change that deserves the hype and awards. It has the greatest story, character arks, cinematography, characters, writing and more of any television show ever! The only other competitor is Better Call Saul(the prequel) which is also unbelievably excellent and is worth a watch after this. Some may find both of them boring for the first season or two but when you get to season 3,4,5 it becomes even more incredible! 30/10.
Oppenheimer (2023)
Exceptional, Incredible, Mature and Somewhat Depressing
I walked into Oppenheimer expecting something incredible, and that is what I got. Oppenheimer is truly Christopher Nolan at his best in terms of script writing, directing and film making. The score, the cinematography, everything about this film is fantastic. Some may find the 3 hour runtime a bit daunting but it doesn't feel like 3 hours at all! The performances from all the cast are amazing and they make the characters truly believable, but Cillian Murphy shines the brightest as he finally gets the lead role in a Nolan Film. His performance is worthy of an Oscar Nomination if not a win. This film is a 100% go see! Watch it in IMAX, it's an incredible experience. However, if you don't like dialogue driven movies then this might not be for you, but I would still recommend you see this work of art. It is a mature story with some sex scenes but if you're 14, mature 13 I would say it's fine.
Barbie (2023)
Surprisingly Great!
I went into this film opening day for a good laugh not expecting too much from it. When I exited the theatre I was shocked by how good of a film it was. I didn't expect it to be so funny, so we'll written, I just thought it would be okay and a bit cheesy but no. Truly a great film but there are a few jokes that might go over young kids heads, as well as some of the references. One of the most fun films of the year to experience, especially if you are depressed after watching 'Oppenheimer'. It has moments of sadness, laughs and so much more. Overall 10/10, great message, great acting, great movie.
