A Discovery of Witches: Episode #2.6 (2021)
Acting vs writing
Acting 1 - writing 0
The whole thing of blood rage and knowing about your future was handled better in the book. And how the allegiances were set up in the stable fight and making Diana blood daughter.
Please bring back the first season writers.
A Discovery of Witches: Episode #2.4 (2021)
Past and present separated
The series could have been handled better by splitting past and present.
Writers have messed the timeline in past, astray from from book, but trying to keep the flow compared to book was less successful.
A Discovery of Witches: Episode #2.5 (2021)
Such a drag
I loved the first season. I am dragging through the second. Each episode worse than previous. I already don't like the timeline compared to book as there was a reason how emotions, reactions and actions meant when in France compared to presented here.
Philippe talking about you are still sinning that is just stupid as he never cared about Christianity.
If they don't improve writing I may just have to stop watching. Sets are miserable along with design and clothes.
A Discovery of Witches (2018)
Enjoyed first season more than the second.
First season was far more superior in sorry telling and story line in the book. Second season seems established more haphazardly and could have been implemented so much better.
There ranking is also an average of the two season where I would have ranked first closer to 8 or 9 and the second clos6e to 5.
I can see some things changed for time and added some stuff for additional detail compared to villa but continuity is bigger than others. One example is Diana getting her familiar from her first spell in the books and here she is already weaning threads. And the point that it was shown to have happened before she gets to France. Which kind of loses the point of the line used plenty of times in the books 'think and stay alive'.
Doctor Who: Forest of the Dead (2008)

Everybody is saved.
One of the best episode of series 4 and the series in general.
