Out of all the medical shows I have binge watched o er the years, Er, House, Grey's Anatony, Nurse Jackie, and probably others I have forgotten about or cannot remember at the moment, this is so far one of the absolute most unique series I have seen. It is different and the writers are doing a great job with moving the storyline along. The flashbacks to the main character's childhood helps the viewer understand why he became a doctor and why he is the way he is. The actor who portrays him is doing a great job. The show has drama, mystery in medical diagnosis similar to House, comedy, and I love the wit and humor. Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who likes medical shows and even if someone doesn't like medical shoes, the portrayal of a character that is an autistic savant is very good in my opinion.

One of the best

ER was a wonderful series that focused on the challenges that doctors face and the kind of training they receive as well as all the different kind of patients they treat. It is one of the best medical television shows that I have ever watched. I think the first five seasons were definitely the best as with any show a lot of characters that started with the show left which made it a little less than what it was before some of their best character/actors and or actresses left the show. The show also focuses on romance between the characters and their personal lives with their families and children and overall it is a really good show, it does focus on the emergency room but it branches out into other departments such as surgical, pediatrics, etc.
