Echo: Maya (2024)
It's not the best of the show but a better conclusion that expected.
It isn't my favourite episode but it's a better conclusion than I expected given it was only 5 episodes. The execution was pretty great actually and it felt somewhat emotional at the end. The ideas/morals and ancestral themes displayed throughout this episode especially is unique, which is good but I do wish this show was longer so that those ideas could have been explored further. Those who worked on this show did great but the biggest issue with this ending is the mockery of Marvel only giving those who worked on it 5 episodes to work with. It's still so much better than the endings of the following marvel shows: she hulk, msmarvel, secret invasion, wandavision. Its a good enough conclusion to a higher quality show than I expected given the 5 episode run time. Kingpin was especially great this episode but so was Alaqua Cox as echo.
Echo (2023)
Echo × Kingpin show.. it's great!
Echo overall landed on a 7.5/10, don't let these other biast reviews written by trolls affect the show for you, watch it and form your own opinion. I gave individual episodes an average of 8/10 but overall it needed more episodes and I was expecting more grittiness, though the ending was a good conclusion with solid execution compared to the usual messy endings of other mcu shows bar loki. The show did have the opportunity to be something much better though.. Overall I think the people who worked on it did ffing amazing but marvel giving them only 5 eps to work with is disappointing and 5 episodes just didn't feel satisfactory enough. The cinematography and editing is a step up from usual shows within the mcu, it gets pretty creative at times and the supernatural elements shown throughout are a good surprise. Every introduction scene to an episode is so cool and exciting. The vibe felt more mature and less silly whilst still offering some fun moments between charcaters. Acting is great, Alaqua Cox does superb as her echo charcater, Vincent as kingpin is perfection. The chemistry between these 2 charcaters is so well done, the dialogue is well written which creates interesting tension and some great similarities between the two charcaters. What we see of Daredevil is an absolute treat but I think people may also use his short presence in the show as a negative which is unfair. People saying the fighting felt floaty and slow, I don't see that, I do think people are just searching for negatives. Could this show have been a movie with a higher budget, probably, is it better as a show, I'm not sure but it's a fun watch with great moments. It's tv-ma, feels mature, has solid writing, it's nothing special but it's a step in the right direction and it's worth watching!

The Kingpin show
Kingpin is great in this episode, really enjoyable to watch his interactions with maya on screen. The tension and dialogue between the two charcaters Is interesting and well written, alot of visual story telling to describe the relationship between the two. Daredevil show fans will appreciate this episode alot more as it refers to elements from that show into this episode, mayas arc is beginning to develop alot more in this episode. Maya/Echo riding her bike is so sick, introduction of the episode is such a great kingpin moment but something you do see alot of in the trailer unfortunately although still it makes an excellent addition. I do hope this final episode is good enough to finish this 5 episode season as it has felt short but still enjoyable and a greater addition to the mcu than expected.
Echo: Tuklo (2024)
Echos boldest and best installment but still on par with episode one
Some minor spoilers going forward but nothing major Now-
Now once again the introduction of this episode was really cool. Kingpins entrance at the end was like a horror film. Main action sequence and plot overall was solid, echo building a gun from a piece of scraps in a storage room gives me iron man 3 vibes. Some great moments in this episode for sure, definitely the strongest of the series so far. If the action sequence was just a bit more gritty and bloody and maybe less rushed ide give the episode a 9. Yeah the episode was great, Alaqua Cox is great, the action is pretty solid but I think my favourite aspect about this show so far is the overall development of mayas ancestral heritage and the chemistry between the charcaters in the show is above average when compared to the boring cringey dialogue seen in some marvel projects at times. 8/10.
Echo: Lowak (2023)
A solid episode, maybe a step down from the first.
The intro sequence for the episode is bliss. The intro aswell is cool and much better than the AI generated intro from secret invasion.
Side charcaters are built upon in this episode nicely, some subtle comedy and enjoyable moments between charcaters, nothing brilliant but enjoyable chemistry between the charcaters. The main plot of this episode was solid but doesn't really do too much of anything special, although it's good and once again Alaqua Fox is great! Not really any fight scenes in this episode but it wasn't really necessary but is still wanted. The episode also feels short and if released once a week like the other mcu shows then I feel this episode wouldn't feel very satisfactory compared to the first. Overall though its a great episode and still is better than what most people will expect. So far I'm really enjoying this charcater and it's setting a good standard for the street level project It is. It would definitely benefit from more episodes but it's still a fun and positive entry into the mcu, far from a negative. Watch it if you want, don't watch it. Its doesn't matter since its a Marvel Spotlight 7/10.

Great beginning
The shows first episode is awesome and badass! One of the greatest first episodes to a marvel show. That fight scene is great and I will definitely be rewatching that. The episode delves into some unexpected supernatural elements which is pretty cool. The visuals/practical effects are nice and the overall vibe feels more like a tvshow. It does suffer from some pacing issues but only minor and doesnt really affect the episode much. You can feel its a 5 episode season since certain themes could be explored for longer. Alaqua Cox is great and shouldn't be dismissed as echo. I have a feeling this show has scrapped echos comic book character competely and is just using the branding/name from the comics for this new version of echo who is totally different. This may be a negative to any comic book echo fans but the charcater is still deeply intriguing and exciting to watch. 8/10.
The Marvels (2023)
Lower, slower... Average?
The marvels is a solid film that combines 3 previous projects (2 being disney + shows) this is the first apparent issue with the film. It feels you must watch these 2 shows to understand the full context of the main plot. Although, the Marvels quickly catches the casual viewer upto speed, of the unfamiliar context on the film the villain is your generic Marvel villain. Nothing more to say than this. It's a fun film with more enjoyment than negative criticism. Ms Marvel is a standout character, Iman Vellani does a superb job. The presence of Ms marvels family in the film makes the film that more fun and relatable. Monica Rambou is an awsome character who I wish received more character development in this film. Captain Marvel stays the same although more likeable in this film. Costume design is great! Director does an excellent job! Writing is simple and straightforward with only few scenes standing out to be significant. Better than I expected, better than the first for sure.
