The Reunion (2022)
Hilarious
Started watching this and we gave up after about 25 minutes. Great location but ridiculous cutting between 25 years ago and the present, hollow dialogue, cliche ridden script. Weird because there are some good actors in this and it looks like an expensive European co production. In the end it was so bad it was hilarious. I strongly suggest that you don't watch this as it is one of the worst things I've seen all year. I suggest reading a great book or maybe writing one rather than watching this.not really sure what Gregory Fitoussi, Ioan Gruffudd, Dervla Kerwin et al we're doing in this but I'd like to have seen them in something far better.
Gangs of London (2020)
Started out well
Started well in series 1 but then evolved into gratuitous violence, shallow characters and ludicrous shoot out scenes every few minutes, to be worthwhile it has got to be something more than my gang shoots your gang, your gang shoot someone in the face and blood splatters all over the person next to them, my gang tortues your gang. Unfortunately, it is ultimately no better than that...
Lots of gratuitous close ups of fingers being severed, broken, split and Lord knows what else but when you as a viewer become blasé about torture, violence, killing, reprisals and the like you realise that it has become commonplace in the series and has no impact.
Marriage (2022)
Shockingly bad
It looks like some kind of experiment that has gone wrong...basically what they have done is removed plot, character and inciting incident from the screenplay. All that leaves is scenes that don't really go anywhere or feed into a central narrative and staccato conversation.
If this is supposed to be a treatise on the mundanity of marriage/life then it would have been better to just leave some video cameras in someone's house and leave them running. Luckily we only watched 1 x hour episode and didn't get lured into watching more in the hope that it would get better.
The Deuce (2017)
Lost interest
Enjoyed first series. Second series trundles along with a load of boring sub plots. Disappointing and ultimately lost interest by episode 6
Killing Eve (2018)
Neither comedy nor drama
Not very good I'm afraid. Unrealistic neither dramatic or funny. It seems like a kids programme. Not sure if that is the intention.
