The Curse (2023)
What did i just waste my time watching???
So I watched the whole thing. Not sure why, but I did. What is this supposed to be? It's definitely not comedy. It's not drama nor horror (maybe horrible) so.... Is this the result of the months and months of no work? Did Hollywood actually lose their creativity, skills, and minds? There was no real plot, no true story, bad acting and the oust goes on. There was nothing that made and sense. Weird scenes, weird sounds, nonsense is what I watched. And the "curse". What curse?? I was waiting for things to start happening related to this curse. And the end?? The last episode?? What the actual...???
Nefarious (2023)
Makes you think!
This is a great movie that makes you think. I don't get all the negativity. We've been missing this! Big liberal Hollywood just can't stand it. All the talk of this being Christian propaganda is ridiculous. It's a movie with a point of view like every movie. I had to watch it a third time to try and understand why people were saying this. I'm a moderate politically so I didn't think anything of it being "political". I just enjoyed watching it...the acting, and the thought provoking material... all good stuff. Maybe a different view than usual. But that's a good thing! It's time for a change. Not all movies need to be swayed to the left. It's gotten old. Especially in kids movies. Talk about brain washing. And they are complaining about this movie??...No, they're bashing it. Pretty typical of that side. Don't say ANYTHING that could be remotely conservative or not fit in their "box" or watch out! Yet "they" can push all their ideals through Hollywood and it's a good thing. Geezzz. The hypocrisy! We need movies to make you think. Movies that aren't just "left" minded. Why can't there be different views in movies anyway?? Now this is what got me thinking even more than the movie itself! Can't we just have good movies with all different points of view?
Anyway...this isn't about politics. So I will get off the soap box. All I can say is watch it. It's a thought provoking movie regardless of your beliefs. I love when a movie can exercise your mind.
About the "horror". The theme is more psychological thriller. Not Horror. I think of Saw and Hostile for Horror. This is about a demon, yes, but it's No Exorcist. It's not a visual thriller it's a thriller for your thoughts. Watch it twice. It's better the second time when you can really focus on it. Makes for a good conversation after so watch it with another person or persons.
