Honestly, this film as an locked room drama was a bit not what I wanted and it was just a bit one note, but Stanley tucci is great with the performance as a gilted lover who is on the funny side, but has an undertone of violence that keeps boiling over at times. So, it might be a bit hard for the audience to watch over the drama unfolding and the information being drip feeding the information about the characters to the audience to keep interest and it might get boring after a while, and there isn't much variety in the shot composition or the acting performances to add to it, which reminds me of "Sanctuary" where the both leads in similar circumstances eats the scene up which is complimented by the directors camera choices.

The film is a violent ode to the lives that get trampled by societal conditioning where bad behaviour are rewarded until the end of the line where they are punished with the most tragic and final punishments possible for their actions. The film is slickly shot and plotted showing the various aspects of a black characters growth from the ghettos to adulthood where his final chance at escape is snatched away. As an audience we are meant to relate to despicable people, but we are shown their growth from good to neutral to their terrible sides by the end, and it begs the question of how much a person deserves to be forgiven or a second chance by the end.

The film Minamata tries to be a much better film than it wanted to, the film is great visually and Johnny depp is good as the main character, Eugene Smith but there didn't seem to be any nuance or development and understanding it was needed. The story felt cut and dry at times, some characters just felt a bit predictable and forced dialogues, the film just tries too much to be a environmental film while trying to dissect Eugene smiths character and trying to give him a struggle of addiction and age with trying to him overcoming it as a matter of fact no matter what happens, but it is an well shot and needed story that was told in a good way, but overall not something I loved but wanted to love it.

The story of blackberry its rise and its two main pillars who were responsible for it growing into the small juggernaut it was an interesting watch, along with some great choices in terms of cinematography where the quality of the film reminds of the older time period with establishing a certain mis en scene that intrigues the watcher. Along with that the performance of the two leads, Glen Howerton especially, provides such great performance that sticks with you and shows you the ruthlessness to succeed in this environment, also the slow decline of Jay Baruchel's character is also wonderfully plotted out.

Anna and the apocalypse just seemed like a dumb musical zombie film that wasn't gonna take itself seriously, but Anna and the apocalypse overall was an enjoyable film that takes more darker turn in the second half, with actual consequences and stakes with its characters. And overall a fun zombie film with decent jokes and characters, but not as great as Shaun of the dead in terms of comedic flair and style, but it is an overall enjoyable film that is definitely worth a watch for those who want to watch a funny zombie film, along with a violent musical. Though a bit silly at times, but it does have heart.

If not for the technical aspects of the film, and what the film did in its short runtime it was nauseating and the world here is just nightmarish. But didn't really care for it overall, just a stop motion animators wet nightmare probably. But still I do got to give it credit for taking 10 years to carefully animate and capture the mood, but would have liked to have more of a narrative, with more substance to the violence and disgusting visuals. Like in the end the story and visuals weren't gelling together and I would have loved it more with a more compelling story or reason for its making, but the creator wasn't focused on a coherent plot, so might not be cup for everyone.

A simple film that doesn't overstay its welcome, the story is told in a way its most impactful moment is towards the ending where the entire film is leading up to it. Almost 50% of the movie is setting up the plot and the characters and all the characters does lend its characters their own time and memorable moments. The story is a bit predictable, and not without nuance, but those who loved twelve angry men might draw similarity between this and it. The movie does star Henry Fonda, though I did feel like he didn't get utilized as much, but its side characters shine due to this, a film which is a worth a watch, but the message might be a bit preachy nowadays.

The movie is overall a fun ride, with its humour and soundtracks and performances. The story being told does seem like it's being a bit skewed to portray Wall Street of as the bad guy to shorting GameStop, while not really explaining the reasons or situations regarding what happens with the stocks all the time.
Though not as informative as the big short, but it does have its own style and humour than the big short. But not might be for everyone's taste, and some characters might be a bit off putting to some. But I enjoyed the movie. And if you are looking for a film with depth and nuance this is not, but if you want a fun movie, I'd recommend this.

A Indian superhero movie with a twist...

Maaveeran is an interesting concept in a genre filled with a variety of superhero movies, the idea of a fourth wall breaking voice narrating your life is interesting, and unique. The movie does switch it up from the normal format of Indian mass films with a hero who is brave and unwavering, but is now forced to confront evil.
And character development is a bit rudimentary as to it was predictable, and it does drag a bit, but can't complain a lot about its issues.
The only major issues was that I would have liked a more nuanced and depth to the comic strips the main character draws on the newspaper, and not just the run of the mill a hero just beating up the bad guys.

Film that was adapted from a play and which shows, with the film delving into the life of Pacino's character along with his friendship with Jake and his life with his lover who has left him. The film is a locked room story, which interspersed with curious editing choices which always elevated the story and kept it interesting. But overall, the film is a great watch for Pacino aficionado's and people interested in the life of writers.

Three of us, from trailer and mood seemed like a a perfect film that would be a soul enriching watch, but it did not delve into the complexities or the jealousy that might occur due to delving into your past. But the movie is a soulful watch regardless, if you just want to watch a film where all the characters try to take the best course of action and isn't infallible in their decisions or feelings and no notion of jealousy or unhappiness in how their life turned out. But criticising a film for its short backs isn't the best way, but my personal feelings about the film is that it could have been more, but still a solid film. But some might feel like it might be not that interesting, due to most of the film just delving into the past and nostalgia.
