The Daily Show (1996)
Yikes
It's really too bad that the truth can only be spoken these days by comedians. News ain't what it used to be, thanks to corporate interests. If you disagree, it's got nothing to do with opinion; you're just blind to the fact that corporate interests decide the news, which help wealthy tax cuts for the rich, and profit the war profiteers (who own the news networks and press, dummies). Show me I'm wrong. Liberal press, indeed.
Hopefully this show will continue to speak the truth to power, those that abuse power, and anyone profiting off the misery of others, particularly the military and the poor. Go Jon! You rock buddy!
Fubar (2002)
Funniest mockumentary since Spinal Tap
I saw this film on opening weekend, and hopefully it gets released all over Canada and the US.
Michael Dowse has proven without question that he is THE talent of the future. This film is hilarious. The timing/editing is perfect. The actors are more believable than most mockumentaries. The soundtrack leaves nothing to be desired.
Having left the theatre with my girlfriend, we couldn't stop replaying the movie and laughing. If you miss this movie, you'll miss the best mockumentary to come along in 10 years.
Go see this film.
