The strange ones

What can we say other than masterpiece? A unique universe within everyone's reach, touching on sensitive subjects and making us rethink our vision of love. It's not easy, but these two masterful hands brilliantly reinvent the short film made a few years earlier. Christopher Radcliff and Lauren Wolkstein take us on a mysterious road-trip through a forest full of secrets, to my great delight! A well-deserved 5-star rating for a jewel that's well worth the effort. I have been really touched by this moovie and truly hope that you will enjoy it! Thanks to have read this and see you soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LaRoy
8 March 2024
LaRoy, a small village in the middle of nowhere in the USA, where intrigue, absurdity and adultery reign supreme. An explosive cocktail that, in addition to its breathtaking aesthetics, makes the film even more fantastic than it already is. The investigation on which the story is based is quite singular in its pace and twists, revealing the genius of this film. What's more, the film's Western touch gives it a unique, timeless identity. It throws a whole new perspective on thrillers in our faces. The main character, rather weak by nature, is pushed to his darkest depths, giving us a surprisingly comic insight into the emotional limits of human beings.

In conclusion, this film is a little gem discovered at the Deauville Film Festival, which you MUST NOT MISS AT THE CINEMA!

Very good

I immediately grasped the essence of the film, in which a toxic relationship is brought to the fore. Aino Suni's style really stands out from the rest, giving us a film that is quite remarkable and out of the ordinary. I really loved the atmosphere created by the music, which adds another dimension to the film, making it even more powerful. There's never a dull moment, as the evolution of the relationship between the two girls captivates the audience as it obsesses the two main characters. Elsi Sloane and Carmen Kassovitz are real revelations! It might be a little bit crazy but this is totally explained ine the last part of the movie thanks to Aino Suni.
