The World's Fastest Indian (2005)
Endearing with Great Spirit
I loved this movie!!
If you are looking for a feel-good, heartwarming true story that makes you laugh until you cry, this film is for you. An endearing true story about a determined man from New Zealand and the diverse wonderful people he meets on his journey to fulfill a life long dream. A brilliant cast and moving script make this a classic that the whole family can enjoy.
Anthony Hopkins is great (and not scary at all!) playing perhaps one of his most likable characters yet.
Go see it!
It is definitely worth renting.
Bring It On (2000)
Cute, and a good movie to boot!
I love this movie! Its a total guilty pleasure for me. The dancing/cheering is awesome, but its the clever dialogue that really gets me. Like the whole "you put the ___ in _____" and all those. They're awesome. I love it because nobody actually talks like that. Its like Dawson's Creek, only more fun! And it generally looks like a fun movie to be in. I'll take fun any day!

P.S. The Toros so should have won. Their routine was so much better!
Jeepers Creepers (2001)
Justin still RULES!!
Okay, this movie wasn't as bad as everyone says. I mean, I can't see it winning an Oscar or anything but come on, what other horror movies usually do?
Let me start by saying that Justin Long (who I LOVE from Ed) is absolutely awesome in this movie!! I mean, seriously, he's like the only person I've ever seen look realistically scared in a horror film. Most people just scream whenever it feels right, but he seriously looked scarred by what he saw in the church basement. After that scene he looked like he was in vegitative state. It was awesome! Justin's my horror movie hero!!!
The banter between the siblings was great and so realistic and cute. Anyone with a sibling will appreciate it, cause its so true how you have little inside things. It showed better depth in the characters.
The ending kinda sucked and was REALLY gross, I agree with that, but it was still scary enough for me to recommend it. It kinda looked like they ran outta time to do something up to par with the rest of the movie, which is too bad.
I'd still see it, plus Justin Long is hot!!! LOL love the tattoo shots!!

P.S. The guy credited as "Dying Boy" looks just like my sister's best friend......freaky!
From Hell (2001)
Scary
All I can and will say was that, as a female, I could not sleep the night I saw it. Jack the Ripper is scary and gross, and his big black animal eyes will haunt me for the rest of my life. This is one of those cover-your-eyes movies. Johnny Depp is an amazing actor, even in this slightly predictable movie.

P.S. The ending was really dumb.
Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961)
Awful Breakfast
This movie is a classic how? What a dumb movie. The two main characters were awful and unlikeable. She, insane and annoying with big eyebrows (what was with the hair?). He, a boring loser who I didn't care what happened to. The best character was the cat, who Audrey Hepburn tried to kill about three times in the film. I hate movies where the all men are in love with the lead actress when her character is so unappealing - this is one of those. It was slow moving with bad dialogue and that annoying dewy camera effect anytime they kiss. And do you think he spelt his last name enough? "V-a-r-j-a-k." In the last scene, I was groaning at how pathetic this movie was. What a waste of time. Did anyone else see them squishing the cat while they made out in the street?
If I could give it a zero, I would. Unfortunately, I can't.

After the Harvest (2001)
Pretty good, pretty dark
This movie was okay. The guy who plays Caleb was portrayed perfectly...you just hated him. Wow, the teacher was beautiful! I was mad at the mom, she was a pretty bad mother to never stand up for her kids. My sister says it didn't follow the book too well, but, never reading it, I thought it was good. It was dark without being scary. Pretty unique. Good use of lighting and music. Great acting by all. I was more interested in Jade and Aaron and Lind and Jordan than the whole plot though. Overall I'd give it a 6, cause it's a really good Canadian movie.
Signs (2002)
Wow, what a Sign!
This was a great film. I saw it on Aug. 6, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was entertaining, it was scary, it was funny, and excellent the whole way through. It was a good story with some good performances from Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix. I must say (concidering I love Joaquin Phoenix), that I liked Merill's character the best. He was extremely funny and plays a very real and well defined character, and you just love him in this movie. A good example of him being funny is watching the news going "Move children!" (If you see the film you'll get it).
The comedic lines and the suspense of the film are balanced so well, the movie just flows. I got scared in this film (at some parts the whole audience jumped), I laughed, and I cried. The whole emotional thing going on in the family really added a lot to the story. It showed how it really would be, and how the fear was getting to them. The kid actors were awesome. I loved both Morgan and Bo, and their closeness to both their father and their uncle really added to the reality of the movie. I agree that the few that didn't like the movie missed the whole point. It was a family movie. It was about a family. (I bawled during the dinner scene). Being a Christian, I also enjoyed the spiritual part of the movie, showing that everything happens for a reason. It show's God's hand in everything.
This is the scariest movie I ever saw in theatres. I saw it yesterday and was scared last night and this morning. I recommend you see it. You'll be glad you did!!

P.S. I don't believe in aliens.
Untamed Heart (1993)
My new Favorite
This film was absolutley beautiful. I am in love with this movie, and with Christian Slater. When I saw his name flash across the screen around 12:00 am last night, I decided to stay up and watch. Was I glad I did. This is a beautiful peice of work, all actors (especially Slater and most of all Tomei) should be proud of this incredible film. What a spectactular plot, and I love Slater's different than usual role. This is a movie about true love, and their love was pure, deep, and amazing. I think it is impossible to watch this movie and not fall in love with Slater along with Tomei. I cried everytime he spoke, for his lines are the truely beautiful ones. I love the cute "I wasn't finished" bit. The end was depressing, I didn't really like it, but this is an awesome movie, I recommend it to everyone. Bring tissues!! Watch it again and again - I will.
