The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Udûn (2022)
Just pretty scenes
The disaster shots were clearly miniature dioramas. The acting is terrible probably because the actors are confused and do not have any clarity about their characters. Totally unnecessary long-drawn scenes. I actually fast forwarded 10s multiple times and didn't miss anything. The story is nonsensical with no rhythm or logic and most of the times the characters are taking stupid decisions without any compelling reason.
An army very conveniently riding into unsuspecting and unknown enemies without any strategy... utter lazy writing.
IMO School kids and teens seem to be the target audience.
What's the point of spending so much $$$ for this s**t! And where did all of that go. Just pretty visuals.
Pil (2021)
Fun film for kids
I really loved this movie and so did my 7 and 12 year old kids. Without adding spoilers I'll just say that the story is cute and the pacing is also perfect with never a boring moment. The dark and evil parts are also not scary. Instead they turned those into something funny. I'm thoroughly entertained and full marks from me. 10/10.
Halo: Inheritance (2022)
Hated it
I'm wondering if the producers were forced to add this unwanted storyline just to serve as a disguised political message. Nobody wants it and yet here it is. The whole episode was wasted with what could have been explained in 10 minutes. I really hated it.
The Batman (2022)
Utterly boring
Could not watch even 1 hour of this piece of ***t. The background music is the worst and doesn't even complement the action in the foreground. I want my Batman to be larger than life with a lot of wow like ironman and other superheros. For realism I'll pick movies from Sundance. I really can't understand why producers have this uncontrollable desire to humanize Batman and keep creating ***ts like this again and again.
Raised by Wolves: Feeding (2022)
Nothing to write home about
I was waiting enthusiastically for this episode. But I'm disappointed. This episode doesn't give anything to add to the series. Mother Lamia seems to be de-weaponized in front of the snake and the others seem absolutely clueless about what is happening around them. I'm giving a 7 for the efforts of the cast and crew. I'm pretty sure they are also in the dark about how the series will unfold.
