Survive the Night (2020)
Very Awful
There's little that can be said here that hasn't already been said by several others. One cannot sympathize with any of the characters because they are made to behave so irrationally. Is there a woman on a farm anywhere who does not know how to use a shotgun? When the father (Willis) has a chance to end the hostage situation, does it make sense to abandon the shotgun and untie his wounded, whiny son (Murray) and have the daughter-in-law go after the bad guy with it? Do you shoot the doctor in the middle of operating on your brother? When it comes down to it, the only realistic act was turned in by the woman taken hostage in the grocery store (Holbrook), who was shot in the back of the head. Are these 'spoilers'? Perhaps - I'll say yes. One star is generous for this turkey. I don't generally look at reviews, but I had to see if folks thought it was as bad as I did.
The Fugitive: Fear in a Desert City (1963)
Perfect Match
As an initial episode, the Fugitive series couldn't have generated a better start. Of all the women Dr. Kimble came across over the course of his life on the run, the one most perfectly suited for him IMO was Monica Welles played superbly by actress Vera Miles.
As a finale, I would have loved to see Kimble go back to the very beginning of his journey and rediscover the love he found with Monica and her son. It would have been a fitting ending.
