Another awesome movie directed by a newcomer

Finally, another good movie after Eeram that shows perfection in nearly all fields.

Fox star company has co-produced this movie. & the director has done an excellent job.

Engeyum Eppodhum is a road trip revolving around two love couples. Most part movie is shot inside two buses which involve in a tragedy nearing the end. The movie also features beautifully portrayed Flashbacks, and good music. The 1st Half shows the love story between the two couples, and the Second Half of the movie shows a tragical Accident which occurs when the buses collide Head-on

Hats off to the team and A.R.Murugadoss for making this movie and setting a mark in Tamil cinema

I watched this movie after reading some critical reviews, right here... i watched it for the one reason that i was a J-lop fan during my early teens.

The movie may have missed a few factual realities, but it's really good to watch. I really cant explain some of those wonderful moments in the movie,in words.it is just that it really has to be watched with ur own eyes.

10 months of parenthood, a typical American lifestyle of love and sex,all portrayed in nearly 100 minutes, in the movie.What more do u want. don't miss this movie because its underrated.Its a really good movie, with nice acting, and script, even though some may not be awesome.

The chemistry between the lead pair did work out great.

IMDb really has to work out on the Overview - User Rating, cause i have seen lots of movies either underrated or overrated.

this is a movie that stands by its genre of comedy and romance. i still don't get, why this movie got so-many haters.

Madrasapattinam (2010)

Nice movie with a mix, yet not losing its originality

I went to this movie with absolutely no expectations, Arya isn't that big an actor,The director hasn't made any exceptional movies, and so on.

But the movie was really good.It showed a great deal of teamwork and effort, and more importantly it was all well used and portrayed.

Chennai portrayed to the best as in the year 1947. The heroine - Amy Jackson is beautiful and has done a really wonderful job.Her eyes show lots of experience, for a girl of her age.

The story line is similar to that of Lagaan, and many scenes remind you of both lagaan and Rang de basanti, yet the movie has its own originality and inspiration.

Arya isn't portrayed as a hero who fights for freedom,he is portrayed as one who fights for Love.

Editing was awesome, Direction was good. The only negative point of the movie is the songs and BGM. songs don't get in sync with the movie too well. BGM isn't much original and doesn't give the full effect at various scenes.

Still overall the movie is watchable. The reason i rated it 8 was because of the good acting, direction,screenplay,no unwanted comedy or action or songs, and mainly because there was some originality/reality in showing a historic adventure.( something that Ayirathil oruvan lacked ).

The movie may seem a bit lengthy, but don't worry cause it wont bore you out.

Overall - Good movie( don't miss it)

Little Big Soldier (2010)

Nice Jackie movie

Its been a long time since there was a Jackie movie with fun,story and good direction.

The movie "Little big soldier" stands up in terms of Jackie's Action scenes, his wonderful moves,and mannerism.

The movie would have gained critical acclaim if it was made in English language. Guess they wanted to make a historic/Traditional movie.

Nevertheless, The movie is good. Those who were disappointed after watching an old Jackie in "the karate kid" will be really happy to see him in this movie, with a great new load of stuff.

Waiting for the next action packed Jackie's movie in English.

Hope he pairs up to do another Rush Hour 4 or some cool movies where he doesn't drink much

Badmaash Company (2010)

I really gotta say a lot of things about the movie.

The movie started kind of,in a average pulse, and started picking up with a steady rate and finally proved to be a good bollywood movie with the right and best aspects.

Direction - Excellent. Script - Awesome. Casting - Good.

Overall - One of the best Con movies.

I really should say that the movie had a unique "CON" script,Differential thinking, good storyline, Good Aspects, Sweet ending, Good Dialogues, Wonderful thoughts.

I m just over-excited after watching this movie. Its just mind blowing yar.

Just watch it, to experience the feel.

U ll really enjoy the movie if u like movies like Bluffmaster,Ocean's 11,Italian Job etc.

I really have to appreciate the director Parmeet Sethi once again for the wonderful movie.

Hats off...!

Eeram (2009)

An excellent Tamil movie, Made so far

I really have to appreciate all the aspects of the movie "Eeram".

Right from direction, gripping screenplay, wonderful synchronizing music, touching feel,Cinematography,lighting,water effects, etc. This is "one of the kind" movies, where it is really difficult to find a single flaw. i was really happy to see a wonderful movie that didn't have any of the typical kollywood masala movie aspects, like meaningless songs, stupid fly & fight stunts, mokka comedy, and item songs.

Hats off to the entire Eeram crew, for making a really good movie.

Just Waiting for the movie to be released on Bluray.

The Karate Kid (2010)

Overall good, yet not better than the original

first day on screens,The movie was fun. Lots of people in the theater had come to see the kick-ass stunts of Jackie Chan,Probably because they didn't know that it was a remake of a 1984 film, or rather that they hadn't seen the trailer.

First of all, the regional dubbing sucked.

Second of all, the movie missed many features/aspects from the original. its kind of cut short,portraying little details of each step and sudden growth.

Jaden hardly gets some training, when compared to that of Daniel Larusso in the original.

Director has added few new aspects,which are good but not great. I kind of missed the song that was great in the trailer but not added for the movie.

"This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain And a hundred percent reason to remember the name." -FORT MINOR - REMEMBER THE NAME.

Jackie has done an excellent job, so has Jaden and all the other kids who fight with him.

The movie stays far away from the original, yet has its own set of skills to display.

if u hadn't watched the original 1984 movie or the trailer, then get ready for some fun.

Overall rating - 7.

if it had completely stayed on line with the original it really deserves 9.

Excellent movie, nice narration, nice story line.

Excellent depiction of what/ how a guy would dream to become a superhero.

I just loved it.

I would heart-fully give it 10 stars, but for the fact of certain scenes & language that make it not suitable for kids to watch it.

But thinking of it on the angle it was filmed.

It is for the youth to start doing something to change things, from the corrupted way it is.

Double hats off. i kind of missed Big daddy.2 bad they had to kill him.

A must watch movie for any Marvel/Comic fan, and those who aren't get ready to be a fan of KickAss.

A kind of movie that keeps you glued to the seats, and keeps u wondering for what would happen next.

Nice movie, excellent direction and portrayal of angle's. Definitely have to appreciate the director and team for a good movie far from typical bollywood crap item songs, crap scenes, etc.

If u really enjoy movies that would thrill you, it is indeed a must watch. It is a movie that you have to watch frame by frame.i guess people who didn't like it skipped scenes hopping to see some action and fights. I guess.

Its a long time since a good action movie, with a good sense of humor.

Lots of guns, realism, something that portrays the world that we live in.

John Travolta - rocking performance. Director Pierre Morel - Thumbs up. Every aspect of the movie - The screenplay,editing,effects,music is superb. a little foul language could have been avoided. very little reference is given to the intention of the terrorists.

Anyway Its been really long since there was a total adrenaline packed GOOD action movie with mind blowing scenes.

Waiting for a sequel where Charlie Wax & James Reece team up with ONE OF THE BEST DIRECTORS, Pierre Morel.

The Spy Next Door (2010)

i had some great expectations on this movie starring one of the greatest hero we have ever seen - Jackie Chan.

i loved his movies since i was a kid, and i love his cartoon shows even now in my Twenties.

The Forbidden kingdom was awesome.

But in this movie, really somethings missing, A Villain who does unwatchable silly comedy Scenes,Not so great Jackie stunts,silly Screenplay, and unrealistic direction.It doesn't make so good of an impression.

Common Jackie, don't sign up for such movies.

The only reason i saw this movie or rated it for 5 was because of Jackie. The movie wouldn't deserve anything above 3 if it weren't for Jackie

great movie.

i cant just explain this movie with words. this feel good movie, is one of a kind , something which can be expected from the director of "MINNALE".

the movie rocks, visuals are stunning, songs are just off the charts. i almost got goose bumps when i saw the audience hum/sing along with the song "Hosanna" and cry out when the name A.R.Rahman appears on screen.

the song "Mannipaaya" was mind blowing. A.R.Rahman's voice is awesome and i am glad that he sang that song.

the romance scenes are good. some scenes appear to be over impressive.i cant use the term "repetitive" on regard to this movie.

The song "omana penne" would have been better if it was shot in kerala.

One who likes love will watch it calmly.... One who s in love will feel it... One who fails in love will enjoy it with pains and tears...

To die in love for someone is not the big thing... To live wit that pain with smile forever is the great real achievement...

u bought out wonderful messages, & u rock Gautham Menon. this is the next best movie, of urs after minnale.

Hats off to the entire team and special thanks to A.R.Rahman.

i got the feel good feeling after watching it, maybe it could be due to experience or it could be due to meeting characters like "Jessie" & "Karthi" in my life.

certain tales are kept in heart awaiting to be told. Gautham has expressed his tale so wonderfully, and it makes me yearn to do a tale portraying it.

This is a movie with no masala items/commercial aspects. just watch it relaxed, and there is no doubt that u will love this tale.

story - 8/10 Acting - 9/10 Visuals - 9/10 Songs - 10/10 Direction - 9/10

Overall score of "Will you cross the skies for me" - 10/10

Goa (2010)

i was expecting a lot of fun from this movie, after venket prabhu's "Saroja".

but clearly this movie lacks something that "Saroja" has.

Saroja was like "Awesome,Splendid", but this movie is more of chicky focusing on lots of girls, and forgetting the main pace of the movie.

The kind of "correcting girls" is more of an imagination and rarely happens in reality.

certain aspects were not shown in proper detail, like a person sees the gold while cleaning their room, but does nothing, and the gold is just like that presented to sneha...? A touch of oceans 11, Casino royale is seen in the casino scene where they try to get the gold back.

The movie was O.K but not entertaining. the audience were bored out in the start of the movie it-selves.

"once u reach greater heights u should at-least maintain ur position." i felt that the director fell back.

overall rating -5/10

Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai (2010)

i shouldn't have underestimated the movie.

after watching Vishal in his earlier films i couldn't expect him to meet the Playboy character.

The 3 Heroines are beautiful,fitting their characters.

Santhanam and the 2 other friends have done a good job. PrakashRaj rocks as usual,this time as Tanushree Dutta's brother.

Now For the Drawbacks..

* Songs don't find an actual place in the movie.They feel kind of cut and pasted at wrong sequences. * couldn't find any resemblance to Yuvan Shankar Raja's music except for the small melody song. * Few scenes look intentionally patched. * Few scenes were cut off in the theatrical version.they were badly identifiable.(Not sure if it was done only in the theater that in watched-Solamalai).{Customers expect to watch the full movie at least on theaters}.

Direction - 7/10. Story - 6.5/10 Editing & songs -6/10 Overall -6/10 (single time enjoyable flick,that can make u laugh aloud with a group of friends).

Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005)

Excellent tale

Mani Ratnam is one of the legendary directors in Tamil Cinema. This movie was directed by one of his assistant directors - Priya.

Its a smooth story on how love blooms between Ramya and Krishna because of circumstances, and who ends up marrying Ramya.

right from the intro, showing the childhood fights to the everlasting war between Krishna & Ramya,everything is so beautiful. it made me yearn for that kind of relationship.

The fights between them gradually decrease the distance between themselves, and they find themselves in love.

My rating -9/10

2 songs are beautiful. song locations are awesome. This is a pure love tale with no violence. enjoy it with all your heart.

Note to volnine

the genre of this movie is comedy/Romance. u cant expect action/violence to make it interesting for u.Don't spoil the movies rating with crap cursing.

Siva Manasula Sakthi (2009)

Good movie with lots of fun

i simply enjoyed every moment of this movie, especially the pranks played by Jeeva or the lovely pranks played by Anuya. This isn't just some ordinary "Boy Meets Girl,Falls in love" tale.

I shouldn't miss out Santhanam who has done an excellent work together with Jeeva.

The director has taken the love concept to a great level. Videography and visuals are good,especially in the songs.

The song "Oru Kal" sung by Yuvan is simply mind-blowing.

Love tales are all the same, but the director shows the difference. My personal rating - 9/10. Songs - 10/10. keep it up team.

i just don't understand how people gave this movie >5 rating.

one of the worst graphical movie, even worse CGI than Dasavatharam.

Selvaraghavan has made yet another crap movie. he has tried to depict Reema sen as Lara croft,but it still doesn't impress.

bullet fire,snake storming, pit falls etc...nothing sounds original. a freak show right before the interval a bloody fight with the some natives - yuck unwatchable.

have u watched Apocalypto Mr Selvaraghavan..?

why was the abusive fight between Reema sen and Andrea made..?

@ Director Selvaraghavan - Plz watch lot more of Hollywood movies before creating a rip off.Treasure hunt movies which came decades earlier are better than Ur silly movie.

a long hunt for some Chola king,The military assisting the group gets supply from helicopters, but doesn't hitch-hike on one.

a several century old Chola dynasty right under the open skies, undetected till now in the modern age of satellite technologies.

what are u trying to show us Selvaraghavan...? i couldn't watch anything beyond the 1st half.

please don't do the 2nd version of the movie.please save the viewers...

Final review. - 1/10. u ll love the movie if u have never watched a Hollywood movie before.i have to appreciate the effort of the 150+ persons who rated the movie above 5.

The Best, so far...

i just don't know, how to explain the movie in words.

it is simply fantastic, full of fun, full of facts and more over, full of reality. this movie has the ingredients that would satisfy you, and make u feel that you have finally watched a truly wonderful movie.

Hats off to Amir Khan and the director for giving us such an wonderful movie.

WALK YOUR OWN WAY, CHASING UR DREAMS & MAKE THEM REAL, RATHER THAN CHASING AN ENDLESS ROAD THAT COULD LEAD YOU NOWHERE.

Verdict : THE BEST MOVIE .

i often used to feel that Rang de Basanti and lot other Indian movies, weren't given enough acclaim on IMDb.There were several silly movies that could make it to top 250 movies of the world, while IMDb misses really good ones because they don't get enough number of votes despite the fact that the movies have been loved by a hell lot of people.

i just hope that this movie gets its rating from the several million people who would have enjoyed it so far.

this movie made it to my top 5 movies.

1- 3 idiots (A True Portrayal) . 2- V for Vendetta (Revolution beyond words) . 3- Rang de Basanti (Power of Rebels) . 4- The Prestige (Magic inspired) . 5- Slumdog Millionaire (one of the best) . 6- Eeram (True Love) .

Note to the 3 idiots team

please add English subtitles to other language movies running on theaters, in other states, so that people would enjoy them, rather than dubbing it on local languages. (you gotta realize the fact that, over half of India doesn't know Hindi)

i just don't understand, what the hell is portrayed in this movie.

a boy looks at a girl, spends 500 days with her, has sex with her, makes the girl realize something and then finally gives her away to somebody,

i almost hit my head when i saw the final scene.not another 500 days of autumn.

the worst thing is that i saw the movie in Bluray. dam i just don't understand how movies like this get an 8 star or 10 star rating on IMDb.

there are some wordings in the movie that may be catchy,but overall i felt really bad.

this is not a movie that comes under COMEDY. it is a serious drama, and a tale that shows a typical lifestyle of silly f*rs.

why the hell do they take such movies.

I felt bad because the minimum score is 1,else i would have rated it 0/10

Andy Tennant has done a wonderful job. i appreciate this work after HITCH.

contradictory to what others say this movie is awesome, and goes to the superb list of treasure hunting movies like

into the blue, national treasure, national treasure II, and others.

expecting another great movie.

simply awesome simple astounding. I just don't know why Author: JABKool from United States stated "Some people I know have problems over the fact that this movie takes place in India". India is a country, which does exist on the map.If United States has the best, so does India.A part of New York could have the darkest Slums, so does India. A part of India is always Dark. Today it has been brought to light like Shakespeare would play on words and bring out the true hidden meaning. Hats of to the director for Portraying the country I live in, and displaying a lot of screens I personally would have,if I made a movie. Hats of To A.R.Rahman for another Master piece.

All i have to do is Watch the movie again on theaters.

Dasavatharam (2008)

Expected a lot from this movie but still it is a typical K.S.RAVIKUMAR

movie....this film has some of the worst graphics Indian cinema has

ever seen. I Don't criticize the double action fights but still taking

a movie to Hollywood with such bad graphics is not a good idea....

especially when Kamal is thrown off the boat ... After watching Tons of Holly wood movies ...this movie is not worth inviting Jackie Chan and

all.... Movie has a good Script and Story Line for Tamil movies but

...a lot is missing

A few characters are not necessary at all....

Kamal goes all the way across the world to finally destroy the lab designed virus in sea water......while he could have done it in the lab it-selves earlier when he finds it as a potential risk

in the climax Balaram Naidu sees through the virus replication through a binocular...!

Malika sherawat was utilized as a glam doll...

I appreciate Kamals talent but this movie is not upto the mark.this movie is nothing but a mass entertainer with several Flaws........

The movie is really wonderful.. Some who have experienced a different college life will really long for something like this one. The director has portrayed college life beautifully ...the cricket game may not be up

To the mark ... . But still it is really funny and one should enjoy it that way . ... Love & friendship are shown beautifully ... Well it is really true that

"THE SECOND STEP OF FRIENDSHIP IS TRUE LOVE" .. .The movie "godavari"was also really great ...... awaiting your next movie

....for those who have not watched the film ....if you love to fall in love with a wonderful college life .... you should not be reading this
