12th Fail (2023)
An excellent watch. Made for everyone
Superlative acting by each person in the movie, even those playing much smaller roles. The fact that it is based on a true story makes you really understand and appreciate what the person went through and how he achieved it. Dadi is awesome 😎
Vikrant Massey plays the character with such ease. Do read how he prepared for the movie. It reminds me of Aamir Khan. Medha Shankar, Anshumaan Pushkar, Anant Joshi have portrayed their roles beautifully.
The storyline flows effortlessly from the beginning and the narration by Anant is superb. What you also live through is the hard work that people put in while preparing for the UPSC exams, especially those coming from far flung villages of the country.
A movie that you would definitely want the kids in the family to see. Congratulations to the entire cast and crew. You have delivered a masterpiece !
Cinema... Marte Dum Tak (2023)
A must watch to understand the cinema of the 90s and the people behind
What a beautifully crafted series and kudos to all the directors and the actors. Their straight from the heart talk kept me glued in throughout.
Most of us born in the 70s and 80s may have heard of or seen some of the movies, but to take a look at the people behind these was something else.
At some moments it made me emotional too to see and feel their pain. Very happy that Amazon thought of such a series and executed it flawlessly.
All of the directors and actors have a human angle behind the mask and the layers were peeled beautifully. The series did a great job of not just giving them the perfect platform but also making some of their wishes come true.
Bandish Bandits (2020)
After watching this I want to learn music...
I never thought a music based tv series could be so good that I would want to give it a 10. But here it is. What a marvel this entire series is. The acting, the music, the storyline, everything is just perfect. I am certain this will inspire a lot of people to learn music. Hell, I am 41 and I want to learn..!
Chhichhore (2019)

Four More Shots Please! (2019)
A really bold one and well made
The series will remind you of your closest bunch of friends and you would feel like seeing them that instant.
All the actors have done a great job and the series is a great relaxing watch...like chilling out in Goa !
Agent Vinod (2012)
The movie can cause serious Trauma to the Viewer
The movie does not just lack a decent story line, it falls flat on all counts of acting, direction, dialogues and screenplay !
Most scenes in the movie seem disconnected and the acting is mediocre at best. You will find the dialogues written by a roadside vendor better in comparison.
We had to leave the theater midway to preserve our sanity.
The actors, director, producer and every body else connected with this movie ought to be sued.
If there were a negative rating available, I would have rated this movie a "-10" !!
Bol (2011)
Pakistani movie at its best
The movie was really an experience and the type that lingers on long after you have left the theatre. I must admit that this is Pakistani cinema at its best. On one hand the movie effortlessly touches upon social issues prevailing in any society and on the other the acting by everyone in the movie is par excellence. There were numerous moments in the movie when we had tears in our eyes and quite a few when we couldn't control our laughter.
I would also like to mention that the references to Tendulkar and Meena Kumari are really note worthy and the director/producer deserves applause.
Please do see the movie if you are a connoisseur of good unadulterated cinema.
Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji (2011)
Terrible Acting and Irritating Dialogue
We went to see the movie tonight after watching the trailers and assumed that it must be a good movie because of the cast. But that proved to be a terrible mistake !! The movie lacks everything that should have defined it. Acting is very superficial and poor, dialogues are so poor that you feel like kicking yourself, the outdoor scenes look artificial and you find people looking directly at the camera. It is a "C" grade movie that uses cheap sexual jokes to make the audience laugh. Frankly, the movie does not even deserve to be reviewed. We got out of the theater even before half time. So, my sincere advice to all - Please avoid this movie and save your time, money and sanity.
Housefull (2010)
Saying Mediocre will be like giving an Oscar
The crux of my review is that it is not really worth watching, at least in the theatre. There is no plot and the director tries to make you laugh with every possible scene. There are points in the movie, where you will literally curse yourself for having bought the tickets. There is a scene where Bomman Irani asks Arjun Rampal " Were you bathing with the Boy?" and Arjun says "Yes". And he meant "Lifeboy". We must congratulate the makers of Lifeboy for having made inroads into the Elite British Homes !! Or maybe our protagonist, "The Major" believes in carrying his own brand of soap everywhere!! Also, at another point, the watch on the clock reads 5:00 and Arjun's(who is from India)reads 6:00. But I must admit that the Santa Banta scene takes the cake. There is not a single person on the screen who isn't laughing and there wasn't one in the theatre who was. There were also some genuinely good scenes in the movie, but very few and far between.
