Chow Yun-Fat Goes Hollywood (2001)
Go out of your way to see this documentary
Go out of your way to see this documentary. It is one of the most thoughtful and touching of all the ones done by DVD producer/director, JEFFREY SCHWARZ. You can feel the love that CHOW YUN-FAT distributes amongst his loyal fans and co workers. The documentary is great at showing how its a team effort on the set. It's a pity Mr. Schwarz isn't getting in on more of the bigger, high brow projects in HOLLYWOOD. His talent sometimes seem wasted on lesser movies. He should be directing feature length documentaries. Maybe we'll get lucky and a studio will finance one for him.
Blonde Poison: The Making of 'Basic Instinct' (2001)
Incredible Behind the Scenes Documentary
Most added value documentaries are nothing but filler but this one is totally awesome! Who cares if Sharon Stone isn't in it? Buy the DVD simply for the behind the scenes stuff. It's more compelling than the film itself which everyone knows is only good for one scene. The director of this documentary, JEFFREY SCHWARZ, should be applauded! His talent is more phenomenal than the people who made "BASIC INSTINCT" Why isn't every studio hiring this guy???? Get with the program and give him more projects!!!
As You Wish: The Story of 'The Princess Bride' (2001)
Fantastic Behind the scenes documentary
Far better than the other run of the mill DVD documentaries by less distinquished producers of DVD added value. This one ranks as first rate! Why doesn't documentary producer/director/editor/actor, JEFFREY SCHWARZ, do more? His talent far outshines everyone else working in added value? Buy this DVD if only for this superb documentary. Like much of his other work it's almost better than the films they're talking about.
Adam Sandler Goes to Hell (2001)
Great Documentary and special features
The film was wretched but the DVD added value content is great! My favorite part was the snippet about the bulldog and this documentary: ADAM SANDLER GOES TO HELL, by director extraordinaire -- JEFFREY SCHWARZ. Everything this man does is brilliant. Studios are stupid to hand these projects to anyone else. Mr. Schwarz, gets classic interviews from the films stellar cast. It is amazing the insight he is able to get from the actors with the basic talking heads approach. Is it just me or this guy the next Laurent Bouzereau? wink wink...
