Ms. Marvel (2022)
Dreadful
Disney vomiting out series, nothing about this feels Marvel, bring back the older shows, even Spider-man and The Incredible Hulk from the 80s feels more Marvel than this.
Ricky Gervais: SuperNature (2022)
superb!!
Love the anti woke nature to this guy, like flashing a big V to the establishment. I haven't laughed at comedy for years, Beautiful. Ricky is a legend.
Star Trek: Picard: Hide and Seek (2022)
Lacklustre
First two episodes in was actually exciting by what i saw, then it slipped into some woke nonsense, lacks pace , energy and what Star Trek is all about, such a waste to see Picard in this.
Alone in the Dark (2005)
not as bad as people make out
If people want to watch a bad horror there are a load of them out there to choose, i've seen worse and this definitely isn't it.
Totally TV (2016)
Poor kids entertainment
Honestly don't like my daughter watching these vacuous, tedious youtube programmes, don't think it's wholesome entertainment. Whats with Gastons accent!?
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
National Lampoons Christmas Vacation
Chevy Chase never fails to bring out the belly laughs in me with this movie and I watch it every xmas. One of the peculiar things i'm trying to fathom is why it's called Winter Vacation, it isn't the real title.
Doom: Annihilation (2019)
Pleasantly surprised
I know we would want to see millions spent on a Doom movie but you know, hats off to the guy that made this, he had passion and a limited budget. If you go into this expecting the earth you will be disappointed, but I was pleasantly surprised. It had a lot more than the original Doom movie I mean this had references to the game and the hell sequence was pretty impressive. So don't listen to the haters but enjoy it for what it is but don't expect big budget Doom mayhem.
The Avengers (2012)
Avengers Assemble! *Spoiler*
I have to say this film was brilliant from start to finish, the characters were awesome and the action was mind blowing. I thoroughly recommend this film, it captured the true meaning of an epic feature and this certainly delivers a punch!
The Hulk looked great in all his glory and I hope he gets to appear in the next instalment! A great mix of action from the air battles to the streets below. It was great seeing Thor and Hulk battle it out again being the last time we saw them together was in TIHR TV movie from 1988!
I think it was faithful to the comics and brought the comic strip to life and I can only applaud the efforts of the film crew for bringing together the characters that I grew up and became so fond of.
Freak Out (2004)
Terrible
Anchor Bay have in the past given us some delights on DVD for example Hellraiser, Halloween and Phantasm. Then one day a film arrived on the shelves called "Freak Out". With the Anchor Bay logo on the case cover I was optimistic about the content of the film. Until I pressed play. For the next 98 minutes i was subjected to an exercise in mind numbing tedium that will never be equalled. I cant stress enough that this film should be avoided at all costs. I don't understand where all the positive buzz has come from? and all the posts must be from relatives or best friends. It is not funny, it has little or no production value, it has a ridiculous story.
Extremely amateurish in every department..this is one to avoid. Awful.
Hulk (2003)
Breathtaking
I have been a fan of the Hulk for many years, and I religiously followed the production footsteps of this movie. When I sat down to watch this film I was mildly shaking with anticipation and my adrenaline level was increased, I was so engrossed in this film. The background information on Banner was an important element to the film and when the hulk appeared first of all I was in awe. The amount of work gone into the detail of the Hulk I can only applaud the guys at ILM for.
The Desert scenes were breathtaking and the whole cinematography was awesome, everything about this film was awesome. Some have critized this film on its lack of humour and tendencey to be dark, this is basically a tragic story of a mans affliction with a disease, its not meant to be light hearted, and funny.
This film is not meant to be like spiderman in any way, its darker and more intelligent its witty and truly is a work of art. I thank the whole production team for bringing back a character I have loved since I was a young boy. I eagerly await the sequel. This film may not be for every one, perhaps children found the first 45 minutes boring as did some adults but hey it needs a good story, and I felt it lead to a great climax in the film ,the acting was superb, and was pretty much an adult film. I give this film a 10.
