Beckett (2021)
It's OK for a Netflix movie.
Except the end, and lack of several explanations, this thriller keep you interested all the time. It's a man chase in Greece, enough entertaining. Not a master piece, but OK for a night with pizzas and TV
!
Sweet Girl (2021)
Don't believe what you watch...
It's one of those films that lies to the spectators, like (for example) Petrocelli did. After you watched more than half a movie, you realized that they (director, screen-writer, etc) lied to you, the images that you saw, never happened!!! I hate those kind of films that shows things and characters that never existed: Identity (James Mangold, 2003), Haute tension (Alexandre Aja, 2003), are two perfect examples what I mean...and hate! Don't waste your time...
Las Vegas, 500 millones (1968)
Very entertaining! Excelent rhythm! Some actual directors should learn about this good film!
Great thriller. I can't believe that was filmed in 1968! That was a wonderful year for the cinema. The rhythm is excellent for a film of that time. The plot and twists shows a marvelous creativity (never seen in another film until 2018: the rob is so ingenious!). The music is so beautiful that became a classic! Unforgettable film to recommend to everyone that love police stories! OK, it's not perfect, some errors, etc., but you'll enjoy it anyway!
Dead Bang (1989)
Very good film. It's in DVD. Take advantage of it!
I write this commentary because I'm surprised of the low rate that people gave to this movie. I repeat: I give this film a 9! Allow me to say that is a John Frankenheimer's film. I mean, all his movies are great! This one is funny, but a serious film, with an excellent plot, good dialogs, all the actors -his performances- are very credible, an intrigue that keeps you interested about what is going to happen next, suspense, action scenes very well filmed, even at least two moments of fine humor. All these elements provides a 9/10 points and elevate this film to another category. It's not a B realization. Even more, the story about a sect of fanatic racist people which exists in real life (not this one in particular, but there are hundreds of them in the United States), so it gives to the film a particular point of view about this sad reality. It almost can be watched as a documentary. Very good film, it's been edited in DVD. Don't loose the opportunity to watch it! And also with all the others movies of John Frankenheimer, take a look of his list as director. All excellent
