Kingdom: Unmei no Hono (2023)
I was once again delightfully entertained!!
When i saw the first part i enjoyed the storyline, the characters and got surprised that there was a part two. I eagerly watched part two to see how the main characters progressed in their journey. After part two i could not wait for part three, wrongly thinking it was a trilogy. I am looking forward to part four because there is still so much to tell, characters from part one came back in part three and there is more back story regarding general Aoki and The King. It will be exciting to see how all these stories come full circle. Can the main characters fulfill their destiny's, will general Aoki and assassin girl get their revenge, what role will the mountain people play? I do not write a review regularly but after being delightfully entertained i felt compelled to write one. I rate this move an 8 because not only was i entertained, i can not wait to see part four.
Kind regards!
Greatest Events of WWII in Colour: Battle of Midway (2019)
Great footage. nice to see it in color, but.....
But there is a flaw in the narrative that bothered me a lot.
There is no mention of Admiral Fletcher at all, not even once. It is as if the person who had tactical command never existed. But they do mention Spruance who was his subordinate.
Can you imagine a report about the battle of Trafalgar and no mention of Lord Nelson?
I also watched the Battle of Britain, which is listed as number two in this series, and there they do honor to Dowding and Park. This was pleasing since Dowding had suffered a similar fate as Fletcher did due to pettiness of other high officials.
The movie 'Midway' 2019, also has no character portraying Fletcher at all.
And the original movie Midway with Heston depicts Fletcher as dithering.
It is sad that the misinformation campaign is still strong.
I wonder what John. B. Lundstrom and John. T. Keuhne will think of this documentary, not amused my guess.
Righteous Kill (2008)
Does this movie have a Dark twist unseen by the masses? ( SPOILER ALERT)
Most People would say Righteous Kill is just a mediocre cop movie about (Pacino) being disappointed in his buddy ( De Niro )for planting evidence just to get a child molester/killer jailed . And this disappointment would supposedly lead this buddy cop (Pacino) to go a stray from the right path ...
Well , I think that's just half the truth because I find it hard to believe how a veteran cop could get so far off track because of something like " planting evidence " . Sure it is a big disappointment in one's career to witness something like that , but than again ...... .would you start killing for this ???......I don't think so.
Something caught my attention in the end when De Niro was playing the field surrounded by..... little girls !!!! I asked my self .. WHY?? ......and suddenly. . .Kabooom!! ( a schockwave in my head !!)
Was this actually an dark open ending ? Could it be possible???? Was De Niro the guy who actually raped the little girl in the beginning ?..... Holy smokes , could this be the reason for De Niro planting the evidence to get him self off the hook ??? Was Pacino the only one knowing this dark reality ??? Just telling that you are the witness of a 'evidence plant' would not help things for Pacino.
Could this have been the real reason for Pacino to Kill wrong doers and accuse De Niro for it ?? Like some form of poetic Justice maybe ?????
Looks like a better reason for Pacino to cook up such a grand scheme with great patience,or do you still prefer going mad on ' evidence plant'? So many questions, so few answers ....... ( all I know , same writer from "inside man", had some major twists as well ).
The idea made me forget and forgive the imperfections, that's why I give it 7,5 out of 10 .
